War base troop donations: what's best?

If planes can't reach your City Center, though? Plague their paths with SAMs, Anti-air towers and towers and you should be fine.

The stats of MRLs are wrong. Without library boost, one MRL has less damage per second than a max uni boost Cold War HA, but bigger shot. Probably the same dps per troop space. Not sure about how much splash damage.

With library boost probably MRLs are better in defense than HA.

We have no one above atomic but we love the field howies and British rifles. But watching what I am giving to war base & any donations to me for attack have never carried any boosts of any kind I have asked and received from 25 different allies all with different nations and any boosts from library and university they may have and I always receive base troop. That issue is my hope if they ever add more Alliance Perks that any donation for attack or to your war base will have any boosts.

Yeah the donated troop get the university and library bonus from the receiver. But MRLs are roughly equal on CW artillery with max uni boost (+30% dps), so it will be better for lower age receiver, or CW players with library boost.
