This is a silly complaint and this topic should be deleted because of everyone complaining.

Hmmmmm....I wonder how many so called "what's the big deal" posts would support an Erwin Rommel Great General? Just a question
Or perhaps a "Final Solution" week Special Event???

Rommel was an excellent general (even admired by his enemies) and not a hard core Nazi by any measure. He was forced to commit suicide to grant his family immunity from treason charges against him related to a plot to assassinate Hitler. There are many records of him ignoring orders from Hitler to commit atrocities like executions. Etc, etc. Nobunaga and Alexander were much more brutal generals who committed some pretty awful atrocities, whereas Rommel has no history of such acts.

Every nation, every troop type, and every general can be called a bad guy from someone's point of view. Everyone needs to get over it. If its such a beef for you, relish in killing said nation or general or troop type when you fight them.

Thats just stupid. Erwin Rommel was a soldier - not a nazi. Same can be said for most of their armed forces. Study your history.

No one's specifically asking for politically INcorrect or offensive ideas - now you're just being obtuse.

Glad someone else knows their history. Rommel was well admired by his enemies incl the Brits and Aussies. He called Aussies from the Nth African campaign the best soldiers he ever fought against. Even in war there can be mutual respect shown.
