Okay, the title is a feeble attempt at humor. But here's what happened:
Last night I went to bed at around 12:30 a.m., and immediately before turning off the game, I started a troop upgrade that dropped my food to around 2,000. I had about 200,000 gold (I think) and 21,000 oil, give or take. I had an active storage blessing and maybe a tower blessing too (can't remember). I did not have a peace treaty. This morning over breakfast I checked in at about 7:30 (so about 7 hours later). When I started collecting from farms and caravans, I found that each one gave me full capacity of that unit. So lvl 11 farms were giving me 80,000 food each, and same with caravans.
Then I checked my battle logs and found that I had been attacked (more accurately, obliterated) by a player with two lvl 30 generals, tanks, 5 war tactics, you name it. According to the log, he stole a whopping 383,673 / 356,716 / 9,868 ! (See attached screenshot)
However, when I watch the replay, it shows that I only had available to steal 48,284 / 12,505 / 1,526, which is about what I would have expected given that the attack occurred about 3 hours after I had logged off and there were no other attacks. (See attached screenshot)
It's not uncommon for the battle log to show different results than the replay (in fact, I can't recall the last time they agreed), but I've never seen anything like this before. And to top it all off, because I had the storage blessing active, it refunded me 27% of the resources reflected in the attack log, meaning that it gave me 103,592 / 96,313 / 2,664.
All said and done, when I went to bed, I had pretty much no food. When I woke up, I had over 500,000 food an 11 hours left on a peace treaty. There are definitely some bugs in this game, but this one (whatever it is) is probably my favorite!
