They dropped in with the latest update. I saw a note around that. The chests are also gone...

It's just as well. It had already become impossible for free players to compete with players buying the event passes on the group leaderboards. One less pay-to-win outlet in the game is fine by me.

I think Nexon should create two types of events. One for players who pay for the event pass and one for players who don't spend money. That way, they could put other types of rewards, as in the VIP...

Agreed, does not make sense have one leaderboard for all paying and non paying players. But honestly the majority of rewards will never be used we all have hundreds of useless troop units for stronghold, thousands of trade goods we cannot spend and a lot of other scrap.

Seriously? These events are designed to sell passes. BHG does not care about those who do not pay. This is capitalism, baby!

They did 3 things that really devalued event passes. I used to buy passes all time. I've only bought one since the changes. They reduced value significantly by:

1) Taking away group leaderboards, they were so fun to compete in and gave nice prizes
2) Taking away the chests for each stage, there were nice "pass only" stages that gave cool rewards
3) Removing the chest that got better as your event points increased. Now its just the same low quality chest everyday.

If they brought these back I'd gladly spend more, but it was a massive hit to value IMO.

What are you complaining about? Even pass?
If I was at defense type of base - I would gladly purchase this even pass and do everything to get into top 100. Two legendary artifacts for $30 is a very good deal!

Group leaderboards are back. And I came second, without buying the event pass. Maybe not in global leaderboards but you can compete in group leaderboards without paying

For some age brackets and in some events, perhaps so. It has not been my experience that non-pass-buyers can finish in the top five or ten, and it's certainly not the case in the current 10-day D-Day event. Free players can earn extra leaderboard points by getting stars in war battles, which limits them to exactly 5000 extra leaderboard points they can earn over the course of the event beyond those earned for the various goals. Pass buyers, on the other hand, get 15,000 free points from bonus stage goals, and can earn 10 points per star in battles of any kind, which means they can run multiplayer battles for points as many times as they want. You can't tell me this is an even playing field. Free players aren't even given the ability to grind leaderboard points at a slow rate.
