What is the magic formula of forest defenders spawning?

Sometimes they instantly teleport in right next to you, even from the waterside. Other times I'll see them zigzagging through the deepest parts of the forest a minute-and-a-half into the battle.

Hmm.. RNGesus seems more like the wrathful Old Testament sort of deity, always smiting folks for this or that.

I think that if you drop troops where there is no more forest to clear then they often insta-spawn. I guess that makes sense sort of since they are forest defenders

I have been wondering this a lot too, they usually come from forested squares but I think they spawn where you first drop when all forrests are cleared. I'd be interested to know what the formula is though; I try and drop tank killers first just in case.

It is completely different where they spawn every time You cant control it. But good idea not to drop your artillery first - just in case they spawn right next to you.

Here's the formula.
Take note that I researched it for last half an year and I'm pretty sure it's accurate

E=mc2 - 1/2 h

Where
E- forest defender spawn point
m- difference in your troops deployment point to top left edge of map (measured in tiles)
c - distance of your troops to TC (measured in tiles)
h- distance of TC to nearest forest , or top left edge of map if there are no forests remaining (measured in tiles)

Yip, I think this is whats the happs, maybe wrong but Ive noticed the above or if the guy you're attacking has built items right up close to the un-clearable forest.
