Where is the Troop Card for Marco the useless trader this week?

I'm guessing the Asian players complained enough where they removed the chests so they could legally offer Marco in that region. So now everybody gets useless crap offers! Yay

i was hoping to get a few troop chests this week with my rubies.
my sour grapes is that i don't have to care about rubies anymore.

a more reasonable analysis is that they want to assert that we should have no expectations about marcopolo,
it's the pick of the game masters based on holistic game needs...
like giving a good deal on something to address the community or offer 'apology' for a problem.

but, the wide variation in quality deals (hundreds of crowns for 1 troop next to the ruby troop chest ....) suggests a dramatic disconnect with what players actually do...
unless the intention is to provoke a fear response "don't click there!"

whatever the reason, it is a downer to not have something with equivalent desirability to the troop chest.

my wife agrees it's probably due to legal problems with "mystery" rewards ... and she thinks they should just remove the random element, which would be fine.

No, it's 1 option for 200 rubies that can be used 4 times. Every smart player will ignore the crown options, of course.

i was thinking marco will start offering different things every week from now, instead of the same old chest over and over again. less value i guess, but it will be more exciting to enter his stall to check out what hes brought each week

My team has a chat outside of the game and we actually COMPARE notes. The trades for the week are following a pattern now. 300 rubies get you an antique chest. The chest awards one prize. Everyone has gotten either leather or cider.

3 Rice will get you 1 chunk of lumber and you need many many of each (in combination with other goods) to acquire a coalition. The only remaining choices require the purchase of crowns in order to get troop cards. To get this weeks troop cards requires 750 crowns, which in the store cost $9.99.

So the game now costs $10 bucks per war to play.

If chests cost rubies, and rubies are technically 'free', why not buy the chests anyway?
You can always get more rubies.

This new chest you can buy with rubies only gives a troop card about 5% of the time. 95% of the time you just get fur and leather. The old troop chest at least gave you 6 guaranteed troop cards.

Quovatis , l noticed the chest rewards are sometimes crappy, sometime not. It'll be intersting to see what the trend is in the next few weeks.

Diminishing quality. That's what thenext few weeks will bring. Unless TinSoldier actually read the thread and beat some senses in the heads responsible for Marco 'The Useless' Polo.

I agree the last couple weeks have been horrible regarding rubies. Hopefully this isn't the new norm. It just seems it's designed to sell more crowns

I'm very surprised that you people hope of getting the troops from the chests rather than the trade goods! Perhaps Marco Polo does very well his job, why shouldn't he offer these crap offers next week as well, since there are players who spend their rubies in chests that may (SURELY for me) give them 2 trade goods?

Yup, that's a joke chest, Manifesto
your actually telling them that 300 rubies for 6 armies 2x tactics blessings and 1x training blessings wasn't a fair reward for all the war investments, but

400 rubies for 2x leather, fur cider, ... or MAYBE 1 army is good enough to stop their complaints?

P.S everyone isn't a whale, some choose to work hard.
