Why are the communication options so limited in this game?

Most specifically inbox notes. Yes, messages from the game itself no longer clog up the inbox. That's a start. But when they were there I can't help but notice the game could send several paragraphs in a note, yet we're limited to three 140 character tweets.

There should be a place to put permanent sticky notes regarding alliance and war rules, the character limit per note should be quadrupled at the very least as well.

Individual whisper functions would be nice, as well as push notifications available only for alliance leaders' use. Though not as needed as the above.

Alliance challenges should have been moved to a separate tab while they were being fixed for two months.

This still doesn't factor the disappearing chats requiring a workaround.

None of these things should be particularly programmer intensive, yet their impact on the quality of life would be pretty large.

Yes, I know there are myriad third party apps that help tremendously, but this is basic game functionality far less complex games mastered ages ago.

Posted here because this section gets far more traffic than ideas and feature requests.

I agree. Definitely must have an opportunity for sticky messages such as alliance rules, war donations rules etc. Present functionality is way too limited. We tried to use Facebook for such communication but it felt an additional complication and without everyone participating made little sense in the end.

I completely agree that the communication options in this game are severely limiting. So much so I hardly use in game chat anymore. Needs to be fixed with other nice features you suggested added for better communication.

Yeah it would be nice when sending a message to the alliance to be able to write more than 2 or 3 sentences when you have to send a lengthy message. And private messages between leader co-leaders and council would be nice. I don't use third party chat and won't use it. I have enough crap to keep up with it as it is!
