TinSoldier can i once again make clear that the cost reduction (coins and food) of upgrades has little to no value to people who are high usage players. I finished my walls sone time ago and have ever since been sat on 7.5m gold and food with little reason to log in other than oil.

The long upgrade times mean that achieving the resourcrs neccessary to use them with workers is pretty easy.

The game at this level therefore gives no advantage to users who play often or attack well.

Actually the gold and food discounts are very useful for players who jump in that next age, as they can get started on offense upgrades without upgrading mills and markets.

You will have your advantage when it gets to oil discounts. If you don't need oil discounts then, probably, you don't need any advantage

Alexey I can't agree more! Also, discounts for extremely large amounts of food and gold (eg. 8million) are also most welcomed. I'd welcome any discount and value it as important, even though I propose some ideas I think would be useful at times

Unless you take the chance to upgrade your wall, it will only save you 10M gold / food or 100K oil due to the long upgrade time,

For players like me who already maxed wall, it is a totally useless discount.

And I don't see any benefit for Nexon by this kind of discount.

A player may get some easy days in upgrade, but it only works for EA or below.

As the game is two and half years old now, unless a great adjustment in upgrade time. there are not much new joiner if any, most low level players are alt accounts, and they wont pay for rush.

The ability to upgrade in a different order would be useful if it meamt you could upgrade and move through the game quicker. However the absurdly long upgrade times mean that i am for coin and food never unable to choose an upgrade. I am waiting for my workers to complete rather than for resources to be filled.

Yes its useful for oil and can speed up upgrade times. But thats 33% of the resources in the game. The increase in speed is welcome however workers/time ratio mrans this can be used 1 or 2 times in the period. So a small increase in speed for 33% of resources for 5%/10% of upgrades is a fairly small discount.

It would be welcome if the discount enabled you to move through the game quicker. However it doesnt. The discount is only valuable if it is greater than the your ability to gain that level of resources in the time it takes to upgrade. So a 4m discount in industrial is great. But i have 8days to make 4m back. Given that can easily be done in a day, thats of pretty limted value.

Good for you am glad you find them useful. I dont for gold and food. In fact they dont help me at all. It does not speed up my upgrading at all.

ressource needed and upgrade time should be related, like half the cost = half the time and voila events and discounts would really have a meaning.

Plus, there are plenty of players who are 'high usage' but with lots of upgrades still needing to be done. Who you deprive them of these discounts?

Everyone, especially the minority, can't have it all their way. This discount event is good because at lower levels most discounts are a few days so the 2 weeks allows you to discount a number of same buildings twice, after each other.
Also, higher level players like me can upgrade things they never got around to doing on the first run, or things we didn't feel was necessary but we have the funds to spend now.
And if there isn't enough time to upgrade everything then people have to prioritise and plan their upgrades. Planning and having to use your brain from time to time is a good thing!

Why are people complaining about discounts? I’m very confused. If you don’t like the discounts don’t use them. It’s that simple. To come on here and complain about a discount that I can guarantee you’ve took advantage of at some point it ridiculous. I would like to thank nexon for the discounts cause no matter how active I am a discount always helps out

Discounts are great. Occasional crown boosts from videos (25/50/100) are a fab surprise. However, the long upgrade times (and increasing the allocated number of workers is farms and caravans from 2 to 4 workers) seems excessive. Still, it reduces the amount of fantasy time and gives me more Real World time.

Honestly, a building required 10M gold, but required 14 days, which mean we only need raid less than 1m per day, likely 3 battles.
Half the cost doesn't help much.

I think Skyman is just saying that there should also a quicker upgrade time event for high level players. A discounted building that cost 4M gold can be farmed in less that 30 minutes, after upgrading, that 4M gold would finish in 7-10 days. without any worker for 7-10 days theres nothing much to do with full resources. Been playing this for 2 years now, back then I think they're giving event with a short upgrade time.
