basically as mentioned above. would a 4th set of barracks this be welcomed or not?

edit: it adds to troops like other barracks you get like how the airstrip adds capacity

I do not think it is necessary. Only advantage I see is reduced train time.
Unless your adding troops most are already at 170 without any building any addition would be pushing it on what would be somewhat defendable. Unless your going buff D and remove the limits on spawning buildings.

At what age would it become available? I would hope digital or info. Think below that have more than enough to work on. Plus we are running out of space they would have reduce the foot print it take up

My preference if it would be added that it not increase troops just maybe give little boost . And the foot print be reduced. Maybe will actually get new wonder in the Robotics Age .

Interesting idea though. With some positive and negative effects possible

Only if it adds like 30ish troop space too. AHs are mostly useless without TTs like recons or Bhms but 2-3 more AHs could definitely make it interesting

That said we need a map expansion more than anything imo, to have any meaningful base you are already covering pretty much all the spots possible, so I dont know where big building like a 4th barrack would go on the map! You would need to squash a your base a little which would then make them prime target for fighter/bomber players

That said we need a map expansion more than anything imo, to have any meaningful base you are already covering pretty much all the spots possible, so I dont know where big building like a 4th barrack would go on the map! You would need to squash a your base a little which would then make them prime target for fighter/bomber players
its a barrack building so of course it houses troops as you upgrade like other bareacks you got

About attack helicopters,i think the problem is that they are really weak against all those protected/ heavy buffed from munitions/ anti-betrayed tanks . Especially with the perk 23.

They can reduce their troop space from 12 to 10 for example or they can give to helicopters a boost against tanks .

They need it.

they need to cut space for certain troops like the asault vehicle and tanks to maybe 8, sappers reduce space to 3.
the helis need range of 6 to justify the space

and a majority of the factory troops machineguns to 2 spaces, bazooka to3 heavy tanks to 20

now that i see it a bigger map is needed also make the trees visible i have to do lota of tapping to find them

and for base editing i want to highlight my whole base and move it up instead of dismantaling it (i will forget what it looks like).

Also folks need to remember if you decrease space required they will probably nerf the unit to make it fair for defenders. If they boost troop than the defenders get the same boost. It ends up being same. If defenders can’t defend they will complain just as strikers complain if they can’t 5 star every base under 2 minutes.

Need to also think yea the boost or space reduction is great till you reach top teir then it becomes overpowering if boosted and too many units to defend at Auto age. Things hit differently at top levels. Also have to consider maxed coals, killer museums, maxed munitions and all orange counsel. Kinda have to balance both O and D.

Now I'm not saying to nerf defense like what others might jump to after hearing this, offense has been the king since the beginning of time if defenders need some break to have fun let them but niche troops like AHs, zooks, AVs could definitely use some boosting be it in terms of size reduction or base stats increase. Without it completely overthrowing defense

You bring up valid points. Just don’t want another case AH walking thru any base. As for troop tactic being used BHG has handed them out like candy and people also buy. Premiums Tactic are all I face. Zooks being boosted would be advantage also for defender they are hard to deal with now for O players with munitions.

Some troops that should be boosted fair to all would be in my mind Assault Vehicle, Raiders, Supply Vehicle, Tactical Helicopter, Machine Gunners, Armored Car and infiltrators.

If it only adds 5 more troops it wouldn't be worth it but if it adds another 30+ then there should be something added for defending too

Instead of them adding a bigger map which will mean more squares to battle, they could move some permanent buildings to the outer edge like they've done with museum or embassy. Why does the armory need to be in our main map? Why can't it be to the left of the Alliance gate?
I'd be happy with other buildings placed on the outer edge like war academy, manufactory, university.
Although I get that more buildings means a harder base to defeat but surely some could be moved?

All buildings hp are very much needed for defense esp in time wars where every second counts. All they would have to do change the foot print of buildings. That would free more than enough spaces.

I also don't see a problem with the available space. We have 48²=2304 fields available and generously calculated (with 3 event buildings of 5², roads not under traps or gates, no buildings in the bastions) we can only occupy 1669 fields. That means that almost a quarter of the available space is still free. With even more space, the time-waster base layout will only get bigger.

I don't see any added value in putting the Armory or War Academy on the sidelines. It is your free decision to choose a place for it. You can place the buildings on the edge yourself, then you can find them just as quickly.

If we're talking about fundamental changes to the map, then I'd rather see an animal park next to the alliance gate, so that the animals, oil leaks and drops are concentrated in one place again, as it used to be with the forest. And I would like to see the solid forest on the bottom left edge trimmed a bit. Because on the outermost row, behind the tall trees, sometimes small structures (oil leaks, piles of gold from caravans, chests/rocks after clearing) are hidden out of sight . And I would like to see airplane paths calculated uniformly across the map instead of making confused loops on the two left edges.
