Should I max my last stable and redoubt which are one level behind and add an extra week of grinding and upgrading? Or should I cut myself some slack and just forget them until I get them situated in Mid-IA?

Update:
I have made my final decision. I will upgrade my stable then after I have all of my workers and enough gold I will make the jump to IA

later I will ask you guys for tips and stuff about IA, peace out!

I think the stable definitely should be upgraded, the redoubt is nice but not as important.

Yeah agreed Eisenoxyde (wtf is that anyway?)
But remember: The type of defenders stationed at the Town Center and Colosseum is the same as that of the highest level garrison. The type of defenders from the forest is the same as that of the highest level stable (tank depot) ;)

I'd wait with moving. I'm at the end of the EA myself, and it's a great place to be. Lots of easy loot to raid, and people barely ever attack you. If you move up to IA, you open yourself up to Global Age attacks, which means all the top players can attack you. Best to stay in EA for as long as you still have stuff to do imo.

Maybe I should stay until atomic age released. Like you said, the top players are the best ones

Also events are harder but have better prizes

Move up. Enlightenment is all but useless. You get oil and cant spend it. Also the Planes, Tanks, and FlamPanzers are the real game changers. Get most oil you can then move on, is my advice.

I've been at the end of Enlightenment for two months now. Working on uni, library, walls, general upgrades, and forest clearings.

If there weren't valuable uni techs through level 3, I'd say move up, but there's plenty of good stuff. In a perfect world I'd have all my Saladin skills at level 5 before moving up. However, I won't have the patience for that.

Also, even though technology marches on, I think forest clearings nonsensically take more loot and time when you advance in age. So if you're running out of room that's something to consider as well.

We just had some guy join our alliance who is global with catapults and ballista towers. He's completely useless on offense and defense in World Wars. I so wish we could have "wargames" with our alliance mates, so I could 5star him without mercs or tactics to point out his folly.

C'est la vie.

This^^^^. I've got a dozen more level ten walls to finish, and ???? forest clearings. Even then, with uni and armory I could park there for another six months and still stay busy. The only reason I'm about to move up is to be able to donate artillery in wars.

It's my understanding the biggest gap in the game is between the beginning of Enlightenment and late-Industrial players. Hope so, because that first month in EA was rough, fighting(such as it was) tanks and planes with circa-1700s level troops.
