Patrick, your argument is invalid because this wasn't a discount by Nexon. This is like a store employee writing down the wrong price on an item and some people took advantage of that before the error was discovered.
People that are at different levels in the game got there the normal way, not with a glut of crowns purchased from an error.
What can be done about it? Probably nothing at all.
Will Nexon apologise? Probably not.

Realistically Nexon could just take back the crowns that are unused and let people keep the instant upgrades, but really, what percentage of the player base are we talking about?
If we're talking less than 10% then I say meh, a few more bases age up. The overall player base is still the same and it won't make much of a difference in the grand scheme of things.
However if the number of people who got this advantage is more like 20 or 30+ percent then Nexon, we have a problem.

One more thing, the next time this happens, PM me ok?

The overall player base won’t be the same if they don’t do anything. Lots of pissed off players that actually spent tons of money to get where they are might simply quit. And get refunds on top. There is no good solution for Nexon here, they lose either way.

i think nexon doesn't really care if 20% of bases just got maxed ... except that those are known-$ using customers that just lost their motivation to buy crowns.

these bugs are silly. we all catch them just playing around a bit...

It’s a pretty easy argument to make that NOT fixing it will alienate the paying segment significantly more than allowing this to stay.

Yup that’s it ... there is no good solution here because unanticipated errors rarely occur in a fair and balanced way. Now it’s a matter of patching things up as best they can with the player base. I think they just lost months of life off the end of the game.

Airlines have had tickets go on sale mistakenly, at super deep discounts, and been allowed to negate those sales. This would be exactly the same situation. Nexon can’t just repossess the crowns, of course. Nexon doesn’t have the direct, financial tie to the customer. It has to be worked out with Google and I don’t know the mechanics of that for a developer.

Very interesting.. Reality is they can’t revert back because it’s a genuine purchase it’s just the purchase was too heavily discounted. Seem like a case of GG WP to whoever purchased loads of them.

Not a bad thing if it pushes more players into Cold War, could be a big kick start that may help activity in the long run.

Confirmed or speculation for 100k+ being low? Curious to see what people actually purchased. Reality is long term players who bought arent going anywhere and newer to middle term are likely to be more active with their new "buff". People who missed out will be ticked off.

When you do an in app purchase you are buying from the provider not the game. In app purchases come from google play store or Apple. The game has there price they charge either of these and the provider charges us their price so they make money as well. Everyone is off blaming nexon when it could actually be google plays fault considering it was only for android.
