These are the medals that I've lost during the last 4 attacks within the last 23 hours and 20 minutes.
The medals I've won from my attacks today? 13, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 7

That's what an afternoon and evening of pressing the screen keeping the game going while the pathetically slow training times
cook up enough troops for me to try and snipe a TC. (by the way, the 13 and 7 medal victories were kamikaze attacks where I threw everything at 190 level bases and lost it all only to have to wait 3 hours for everything to train again.... just to get some medals)

It's not mathematically possible to stay in the empire league with these medal discrepancies. The shear amount of hours needed to move a screen to keep the game active is not anywhere near
the amount of medals needed to just tread water at the same level.
Just wow.

I'm at 177 level, and I have no idea why people can attack me (and yes my TC is out in the open with no traps, no defensive buildings nearby) and get so many medals
when I cant find an opponent with the same level range worth more than 1 medal.

Meanwhile tons of people have been in Dynasty League. for months and years....

Stop attributing to game issues that which can be explained by lack of skill.

Not much difference whether defended or outside.

A bit like this: say you are at 3000 medals, attackers can be between 2000-4000 medals. The two ways of climbing are full army for a 5* or TC sniping. With TC defended you only really attract full armies who try and 5* you, with TC outside you hope for the first TC sniper to take a quick 2 stars. To a 2000 medal attacker you are worth +39 medals if they 5* you but only around +16 for the two star.

The only slight advantage of a defended TC is you occasionally get a defence win (I've had about 5 in 3 months) but usually that's the greedy little 2000 medaller fancying their chances because they can only lose 1 medal - hence the completely FU'd 1/39 medal system.

135 people in Dynasty according to the buggy Top Players table.

I don't know your medal tally, but if you're over 3200 you may have been there for months and years! because months ago it was easier when Motos ruled, especially French with their 1 second retrain - 30-40 attacks per hour wasn't uncommon.

If you're down nearer 2000, perhaps you can show us your skill in nipping up to 3400 before the end of the month?

The reality is above 3000 it is down to 99% luck whether you get any opponent at all - 'No Opponent Found' or how much pressing 'Next' you are prepared to do before you find a base worth 20+ medals. Unless you take the TC sniping route in which case it's spend hours hitting & running for 1 medal a t a time. Or perhaps the skill is in paying to crown an instant army? But you can't buy opponents.

The borked match-making and 1/39 medal system have just been over shadowed by War problems - they are both in need of a complete rewrite.

I'm at 3200 eddie. And when I am not hunting for resources, most of my attacks are 10+ medals. Might take 10-20 nexts, but that is not an issue

i think it is because of a few % having more medals than you do. and you have to consider, that like 80% of them are online, have a PT, or are under attack by someone atm. and some 180 lvl player sitting on a kingdom league is throwing everything at you to get those 25-39 medals. with the current ww system, as Eddie F1 mentioned before is the same problem. until Nexon will separate owned medals from available to get in every battle, the problem will stay there forever. system we have now has nothing to do with players skill. If you have a lot of free time, just play 24/7 and eventually you will get there. And if you have 1 hour or less every day, then you are doomed in a kingdoms or golden leagues forever. the same is for glory. but there you cannot rush battles or go wars faster, so players found another way to go around the system for easy way to climb with glory. Sandbaging. But only difference is that you get absolutely NOTHING for being on a top 100 or even a top 10 on a leaderboard.

Tc exposed is good. ''Next'' a helluva lot to find that juicy base or two. Then hope you get TC snipe & 8hrs peace. I found it quite easy to stay above 2600 with this strategy - 1 or two arracks each morning and night then lots of peace in between. Gave me time to work on my other medieval & gunpowder bases.

Play smarter, not more.

Tried the TC defended base setup and got flattened by a almost maxxed out GA lvl 198 player who nicked me for 17 medals lol! That's for a 4 star win too...would have been more if he could have 5 starred me. Hilariously, I had almost no oil, no gold, and just 300k food.
How does a 198 lvl player get 17+ medals for attacking a 178 lvl player?
This just makes no sense....

RL--cant seem to stay much over 2600 losing 50 to 60 medals a day, and only getting 15-20 for my attacks. The opponents just dont seem to be there with reasonable bases worth more than 10 or so medals.


My last day of defending (1 day 19 hours) cost me: 29, 13, 15, 17 medals lol That's 74 medals lost

Attrition is taking over. I earned 19 medals today, and about 60 yesterday (after playing about 12 hours straight to get enough oil for an upgrade).

Also, to be clear, I'm not complaining, just stating what's happening at the 2600 level for anyone thinking of grinding up to this level.
The best thing about this level is the bonus resources for each win. It makes it well worth it.
I actually enjoy sniping TCs and trying to figure out how to get a medal victory over tough bases.
That's basically the game at this level (or just beat on IA bases for 1 medal, or suicide attack all your troops for that every so rare GA base that offers 10+ medals).
I find it tedious, but somewhat interesting.
If troops took less long to train, it might even be fun.

Thanks ReadyMan, It's reassuming to know the TC sniping method is equally as crap as continuously pressing 'Next' for around 20 minutes to find that 20+ medal base then 5* star them with a full army. The higher you go, the worse it gets. It's a lottery depending on where you live and other folk logging off.

From a design and business point of view, this has to be an epic fail - normally in business you pick the widest target audience possible for your product, not a tiny niche of players who can play hours a day. A game should work for those who have 10 minutes or 10 hours.

Your lack of resources may actually contribute, since there is less incentive for attacking other than medals, if you arent 198 already

+1 You will be attacked. If you have oil or gold there is a chance someone who is after that will give you the peace treaty. If not it's going to be someone after your medals, diamonds, or national trade good.

It's OK for you professional players, I unfortunately have a couple of businesses to run, so 10 minutes over 3pm coffee is the most I can fit in. Pah.
