Abandoned Teams in the Top 100 - Needs a Solution (glory decay?)

Totaly agree with glory decay, needs to be done. There are many coward alliances that don't start wars for a month because they are afraid they will lose glory. And those chickens needs to be punished. Two days without war and third day boom minus 500 glory.

So in this hypothetical scenario which has now become reality for many top teams, Clint would have us all losing hard earned Glory each successive day we are locked out of war. It's been 5 now for us by the way, and this current situation reflects what a truly bad idea this was.

I never specified an amount of time, nor think this situation would fall into that category(as it never had happened before and hadn't when I posted this). Thanks for your productive input : ) I'm surprised you wouldn't be all for the leaderboard reflecting active alliances. Would only benefit yours in the long run.

This is developing worse and worse. There now 4 abandoned alliances on top 13. Those guys are leaving their alliance and create a new one in order to catch other leaderboard team with an extremely favorable glory points ratio (eg -1/1,400). This is an abuse of the system and nexon should implement de glory decay urgently, for alliance not warring during a X days period. The AXP perk is not a strong enough incentive. Carrot doesn't work; let's use stick.

I totally agree on this. This is getting worse and worse. Last time we fought against the restarted WarWolves(HK). risking a glory loss of 1100+ winning 1 glory. Just bullcrap bunch of losers doing this.

But very simple. Just decrease all GP by 1 or 2% monthly/weekly. This is an allready proven sollution. Works this wayin many other games.
Inactive alliances get cleared from the leaderboard and this leaderbord manipulation stops.

It would be enough to introduce another matching criteria to the matchmaking... max 5000 difference in glory between two matching alliances

glory decay is a good idea but in situations like were an alliance can't find a match, maybe only apply glory decay to those groups that continually fail to attempt a war search. at least then glory decay would be fairly applied and penalize only those who are squatting on leaderboards.

I think you raised a valid point and I also think there should be a penalty system for the alliances who have less than 10 number of players or not warring for a certain time.

This definitely needs a quick solution, a glory ratio of +1/-1400 is horrible and pretty much already killed the competition for the top of the leaderboard.

I agree - active alliances who are fighting to get onto the leaderboard shouldn't have to wait until they get more glory than old abandoned alliances. Where is the glory in abandoning an alliance but leaving in a placeholder to get in the way of others?

The teams that were temporarily abandoned did so following the impossibility of winning Glory and other recurring problems

They can return, if the reasons which prompted them to leave are settled

It was not enough for you the disagreements they followed, therefore, you advocate, erase, banishment and stick.

It's sad that some alliances resort to flat out being jerks to others, and it's very unsportsmanlike. Their only goal is to make the game suck for everyone else instead of competing normally.

And you know everyone in other teams so well that you can speak about what the "only goal" of each and every one of them is? It's a game and everyone is allowed to play however it's most fun. If that becomes a problem for the game as a whole it's up to the developers to fix it.

This is non sense; when top alliances are fighting each other there is a lot of glory at stake.

When top teams are not fighting each other because they can't match weight wise, they end up playing for 1 point

Glory redesign has been on the minds of some top folks here. I believe they were waiting on the new Matchmaking rules to be in effect for a little while, and for Alliances to gain a few levels to watch their behavior. I have added a link to this thread, to our idea log were a Glory Redesign has been discussed.

That's great!

Hope to see that as soon as possible before it ruined the hard earned glory of the other alliances

Time to move this topic up again.. This is really an ugly sight when you look the table and see so many inactive alliances at the top..something should be done
