accidental crown use ... 'blue button off' option needed

for the second time i have opened my game and a forest was miraculously cleared .... with crowns and gold used as if i had instant-cleared it. i did not.

i suppose a passing ghostly woodcutter could have done it ..but it certainly isn't where i would choose to use crowns...
....and it permanently altered my previously beautiful base aestthetic.
i did report this .. but i expect nothing; the rational person would just suppose my finger slips, and crown use is part of the game.

but even if it was my finger slipping without my notice, crowns are not 'secure'.... there is no "disable blue buttons" option. if i'm supposed to desire crowns enough to buy them, this isn't practical .. they are not secure.

even if it was my finger ... the intent of the yes/no verification step has failed twice, suspiciously both on forests.
if we are to value crowns we should be able to electively disable the blue buttons.

it happened on login both times... so i cannot help a feeling it's a subtle dangerous bug....
if it wasn't for my repeat experience i would agree with a skeptical opinion. i assure you i did not see any forest clear or verification about it.

has anyone else had this happen?

edit:
customer service responded that since the instant-complete did happen in the logs it was not 'fixable' ....
i respect the skeptic but the same thing happened twice, so it's an issue that's taken a few thousand crowns from me.

the main damage is that i have lost attachment to crowns if they will just be spent accidentally.... there should be a 'blue button disable' option.
it would be an error in marketing to depend on accidental crown spending enough to decline the feature; nexxon could not intend that.

I can only speak for myself, I have always seen a message warning me ''Do you want to instantly complete this task'' or ''Buy the missing gold'' or ''Do you want to finish this task''.
If this is a genuine bug and it happened to you twice, I wish you luck with CS.

I had a similar event happen a while back. CS responded to me as you, that it was my fault. It is possible my phone screen never went off as I put it in my pocket, so there were phantom keypresses while still in game, but it isn't likely. The fact that they use the event log to "prove" that you did it and therefore they can't undo it is just silly - I know that it happened, I wouldn't even have contacted them if I could have figured out how / why it happened and had a way to keep it from ever happening again.

I would like to have a disable button for crown use as well. Put it in the settings area, and then everything that would be crown rushed is greyed out and not selectable without turning it back on. I made the suggestion to CS, but no response.

I lost 800 crowns awhile back because i never got a warning about being out of a trade good and was buying marco polo deals with crowns. Had i seen that warning i wouldnt have used the crowns.

There is no reason, other than they hope we accidentally spend them, to not have a disable button, or some sort of option for us to elect to be required to type "confirm" prior to spending crowns.

I would actually prefer the "confirm" option over the disable option as you could still accidentally spend crowns when you enable it for an instant upgrade and go to disable it.

I wish it was a triple question... too often I have hit a button just to realize I crowned something

Sometimes we all do silly things, me included, but we have to take responsibility for our own actions.

Autopilot finger movements have done some silly things, like cancelling an upgrade instead of "finish free" when 5 minutes left. (of a 10d+ upgrade)
But at least that was my own doing....

Really? Do you go through life asking to be protected at all times?

Manifesto why wouldnt they want to protect the customer.

Example: Customer A really likes the game but doesnt have a lot of extra cash to spend on games, for what ever reason that may be. So for a couple of months he puts back $5-10 a week so he can support the game he really likes and not have a negative impact on his finances. He then uses that money to buy a few thousand crowns. Then after doing so on accident he auto completes a building he just started that took 1.5k of his crowns. CS doesnt do anything for him. He now has buyers remorse because his money was spent in ways he didnt want. How likely do you think this customer is going to spend money again in the future?

This isnt about you or me, this is about the average customer. Not all consumers are "Men/Women" some of tweens and teens and potentially even younger than that, that saved up their allowance and had their parents buy them the crowns.

In several spots, there are confirmation windows, preventing players from doing a one-touch purchase. We can investigate to ensure all of these spots are covered. Contacting Customer Service is a great way to pitch in if we've missed a spot.

A bug has been written to the team to turn purchase buttons blue (seen in the case of Marco Polo) so they are more easily recognizable at a glance.

yet it still happens...whats wrong with giving us an option to turn on a feature that requires us to type "confirm, yes, a random 6 digit number, etc" into a command prompt prior to using those crowns?

respectfully this was not my point ... my experience says that the 2 step process is insufficient considering their value.
a disable-crown toggle would not be a disincentive to using them. i do not want to be paranoid about it as i find myself now.
thank you for your attention.

Sorry my friend but you and l will never agree on this point. :)
We are all responsible for our own actions. We should recognise that and own up to it, or as people say ''own it'', and hopefully people learn from it !
Today's generation is too soft, always looking to blame others. If l spilt hot coffee on myself, is it the shop's fault? No, it would be mine for being an idiot!
Nexon have done enough so ultimately it comes down to two words my friend: caveat emptor.
