adding space and more roads

i enjoy the roads as a city builder part and they serve a purpose with the radar tech and health bonus. so why did they stop adding them, id miss out on 70 more rpad tiles if the 10 per age were followed

if they add more space i want more roads and this also gives me hope for that cause they consider adding wonders for the earlier ages. all of us want the space but not the roads (i personally would like more roads)

I agree, it will make the city building more realistic and defending it more challenging.
