Air defense

Anyone knows how many levels are there for air defense and can a fully upgraded air defense take down an upgraded tri-plane in one sortie?

Just 2 levels. Not sure about the tri-plane though, maybe someone else can pitch in...

Usually the air defense will not take down a plane in one sortie, not even in two, but sometimes the plane flies pirouettes around an air-defense, whatever the reason...

Air defense level 2 does 380/second damage. My triplane mk3 has 2526 hit points. For sure it would not take down the plane in one run.

sometimes it will take down a triplane in one deployment if the triplane is stupid and does 2 loops over the top of it. Sometimes that happens.

That's why you need to utilise towers, redoubts and your castle as well.
