Armory lvl 8 and Tanks

Hey now...

I'm playing Koreans at the Industrial Age. When I upgraded my Armory to Level 8 it showed Tanks as one of the new items I would get with the upgrade, but they are no where to be found.

Is that because my Barracks are only at level 7? I need level 8 Barracks before they are available..?

I'm only 97 Gunpowder, but saw this had not been replied to yet. You probably found your answer by now. I thought tanks might be a factory unit and that is not necessarily related to the armory? So, my guess is you first need to build a factory, then collect a whole bunch of oil to produce them.

Upgrade your barracks to level 8 (for industrial age) and you can unlock the ability to research tanks. Tanks will cost 7 million food (6.3 million with Notre Dame).

as for factory tanks, they cost 900 oil to produce, but the level 3 factory requires 120,000 oil (which can be a daunting amount to players). As soon as you upgrade the factory to level 3, you can start using Heavy Tanks which have 50-60% more damage than tanks, but instead of attacking enemy defense buildings, they attack anything. You can also go into your armory and upgrade heavy tanks to heavy tank mk2 and heavy tank mk3, which provide more hp and damage per upgrade, but costs quite a bit of oil.
