Assault Vehicle?

Hi, what is your opinion on Assault Vehicle vs Bazookas?

Assault vehicles have 6 times more HP and but only 30% more damage against tanks/walls.
However, I think they should be considered in different roles. Some people use bazookas in wars because armies with them can clear a base quickly, but there's the oil cost to retrain.
I use 2-3 bazookas as a cleanup crew but when I used Assault vehicles (which I tried and discarded) it was as a tank replacement (front line troop), except they cost more than tanks, take up more space and don't have as much hp.
imo, neither of them are any good as a frontline troop or as the primary destroyer in an army in MP.
BUT, you should try them for yourself.

Assault vehicles are weaker than my mk5 heavy tanks even 2 assault vehicles. However I was recently hit by a CWA that used just 3 assault vehicles and sliced thru my triple layer marshmallows and defenses to snag my oil. He didnt 5 star me but the combo was impressive and well balanced.

Interesting. Never thought to use them as raiders because of their high cost and train time.
What level walls do you have?

I like Assault Vehicles but they have too little health in my opinion. I rather use bazookas as they do more damage especially at a 3 to 1 ratio. I use them when I want to not use oil (other than planes) in my attacks but other than that they are mediocre like most troop additions to the game.

I like Assault Vehicles. Since their favorite target is "any", they don't rush ahead like tanks, so my army stays together and is easier to protect. Pair with field howitzers for best effect.

They make for a good combo with APC. Both units move at the same speed and target similar buildings.

Well, considering that Rasta now gives buffs to Bazooka/RPG troops I would say that Bazooka are better than Assault Vehicles if you're going to use them like Bazooka.

I use AV instead of tanks. More damage + stay with the army = better attack

Expensive though given their suicidal AI
