Best Industrial wonder?

Hey all,

I am about ready to build my industrial wonder, and normally I look at the top players and then choose based off what seems best. All of the top players seem to have different wonders. I am leaning towards the Brandenburg Gate or the Kremlin as I am an active raider so I don't think I need the Eiffel tower, and I'm not sure how badly I need the extra oil or how powerful the air damage is.

One of the main things I'm unsure of is how strong the Brandenburg ability is. I am currently not using any factory troops as I'm Roman and using 70alpini/melee, 30 riflemen, 4-5supply carts and donation cannons, which makes me skeptical about Brandenburg even though it seems best.

What have you guys decided, what are your thoughts, and why?

Thanks,
MasterMike

PS: I accidentally put a post in the ideas/suggestions so sorry about the double post.

Active raider = Eiffel Tower. I've built bradenburg but hardly seem to use it ever. Planes on the other hand, so awesome.

I went with Brandenburg gate because at the time I was rolling with 4 heavy tanks mk2 and other factory troops. If it's now I'd go with statute of liberty as my fighter is quite strong now. That said, the most annoying wonder is the kremlins, if you can strategically place the farm around your base then it might be the wonder for you.

Eiffel Tower is pretty useless as it does not offer any offensive or defensive benefits. Who cares about the peace treaty once a week.

So are you guys saying the Kremlin isn't worth it and it's between Brandenburg and the Statue? If I don't use tanks sounds like statue of liberty is better. Any other thoughts?

It depends on what would you like to focus on.

If you're war focused, an additional tactic in the form of Blitzkrieg from Brandenbug Gate might come in handy.
Since you're playing as the Romans, if you would like to go the full heavy tank route at some point in the future, Brandenburg Gate might come in handy. Bazookas too can benefit from it, if you would add them in your troop mix in the future.

If your focus is farming resources through a lot of multi player battles, Statue of Liberty might help.
With the possible introduction of University researches under Amelia Earhart in the near future, planes might receive some love, and the damage bonus from the Statue of Liberty might nicely complement them. But, it's pure speculation at this point in time.

Kremlin has its merits, but, to maximize the benefit of strengthening the walls, it'll require careful placement. If you already have wonders which have constraints on their placement in order to maximize their benefits (Acropolis, Angkor Wot, Forbidden City), it might become challenging to balance the placement of all of them to maximize the benefit from each wonder. Not impossible, and it might even complement your other defensive wonders nicely, but, it's another point of consideration when choosing the wonder.

There isn't a single 'best' wonder. It would depend on some of these factors I've tried to explain here.

Hope this helps!
Cheers and happy gaming! :)

Thanks for the insight. I agree with your take on kremlin. My week of bliss with the ninja assassins I would crush just about any bases especially ones with disable traps. That said I skipped all the bases with Kremlin wonders.

Wow, I'm torn hehe. Flash, were you suggesting that eventually most Romans switch over to heavy tanks and bazookas? If this is the case Brandenburg would be much more appealing.

Also, I do want to be war focused whether offensively or defensively, which is why originally I was thinking about the Kremlin or Brandenburg. I do have the acropolis already so that could make things tricky with the layout. Hmmm.

Thanks for the feedback.

I'm not too sure about Romans using bazookas, but, I've definitely seen them using an all heavy tank army. Their increased troop capacity makes it possible to successfully field such armies.

Good choice with narrowing down to BG and Kremlin, if you're war focused.
In wars, if you would like to be offense focused or defense focused might help you choose between the two.

Cheers and happy gaming! Happy to help!

Hello Brand Marrow, nice to hear from you!
I'm good! How about you?
Yes, just thought of helping out a bit on the forum with my spare time.
I had a long weekend off, and was browsing through the forum to kill some time, and found a few threads where I could help :)

Flash is 100% correct. For wars having Brandenburg's blitzkreig is best. For day to day raiding Statue of Liberty's plane boost is best.

Kremlin is beyond awesome in maxed white walls and wall coalition combined situation.

The beauty in this game is, there is no clear answer to which nation is best, which wonder is best etc. It really depends on your preference and play style. I also went with SoL as I like those fighters.
