Does anyone have any idea why dominations insists that the Black Watch (a proud Scottish regiment ) are referred to as an English regiment ? I would think this is like sayin* the Mounties are American , I find it really offensive let me kn9w your views please

Where are you seeing this? All I've ever seen is that they're included as part of the Brtitish nation, which they are - which would be the same as sayin* the Mounties are North American, which they are. Can you post a picture of where they're referred to as English?

The Mounties only serve some parts of Canada, so it would only be appropriate to say they are Canadian.

''British''. That covers the whole United Kingdom (present day).
I have a Scottish ally that never complained about the Black Watch referred as one of British special troops. Duh.

When you read the specific in formation on Black Watch they are called English . My comments about the Mounties are say8ng it is as bad calling the Mounties American as it is calling the Black Watch English no one would do it

I'm an Englishman but I can understand where Graham is coming from. My Scottish friends would be very angry if you said that one of their most famous regiments was in fact a Sassenach army….
