Bomber MK1

I have just upgraded my airship MK3 to bomber MK1. First I find that bomber flies faster than airship. However, i figure out that despite the higher DPS, it no longer can destroy even an gunpowder age castle in one go. For airship, I can destroy an enlightenment age castle in one go and could almost destroy industrial age castle. I wonder if this is because bomber flies faster so less damage is done to the target building. Anyone else can share their experience?

I guess with the added speed, they don't want the bombers to be too OP. Anyway with the added speed to your bombers, they have better survivability during their 1st run to go for a 2nd run to take out the fort. =)

It's like when you upgrade your HC to tanks. They don't add their dps (pound for pound) but they add range to your unit.

After trying it out several more times, all i can say is as bomber flies faster than zeppelin and airship, the bombing radius is now increased from 3 buildings to 4 buildings and that is why the average dps received by each building is reduced. Indeed, it does have better survivability!

That's understandable. BTW.... when you say 4 building, is that 2 buildings before and 1 after or 1 building before and 2 after the target?

Yes its 1 building before and 2 after the target, and the 2 buildings in the middle will get the most damage!
