Do we find 4 or 5 British nation players in the top 10 players? No, no we don't.

Only 1 solitary player in the top 10 is a Brit. Wow, feel how powerful.

Brits are overpowering in all ages up to industrial. Only 2 upgrades in the arsenal (shooters, healers), and one upgarde in the faculty (Sejong) is also a big advantage to be quickly an offensive threat when changing age. For Global and Atomic, different attack strategies are used, which most often need a change of nation.

Interested as to where you get that 80% number from.

Also surely the leader board players who play "a LOT" would know the strongest nation and play that one.

Still you haven't addressed the question of why only one of the top ten ranked players should choose to play a nation you say is highly overpowered.

The answer is that playing the British is easy. Many other nations are just as strong, but attacking requires thought and strategic thinking. The British allows unthinking attackers in war to do well, but an intelligent player can do as well if not better with many of the other nations.

If you've ever seen some of the top leaderboard players attack, you will see that many have specific strategies that bring a victory, but not 5-stars. For example, French players can train a bunch of S35s and rally on the TC. Fairly easy to get 2-stars that way and go up the leaderboard, but never going to get 5. So it's easy to win a battle as the French but you say they are not overpowered, is the definition of overpowered simply "good at attacking in wars"?

Not best at gaining medals, or progressing or even dare I say in defence.

People complain about stalemate games while playing the British who are very weak defensively.

I guess everyone's definition of overpowered is different. I'm not saying Brit is overpowered, just that it's heavily used for high-level war attacks. This is from experience, in that the overwhelming majority of players use Brit in high level wars. If you are an average mid-level player and mid-level alliance, you won't notice this. Japanese and Greek offer nothing whatsoever for a war-minded player. It would just be nice for all nations to at least be considered.

Brits are weak on defense? Come on, the difference in defense capabilities between nations is insignificant. The only defensive unique nation abilities are the japanese town center shooting and a few extra defenders for chinese. Neither is ever a factor at high level. Blaming stalemates on Brit players has zero merit. Almost all nation abilities are offensive-based.

You are overlooking the significant difference in defensive tank power that certain Nations (French) have over others. They spawn 2 juiced up tanks each out of the Armory and Command Post

Better loot ? That is more a question of player skill than nation choice.
+1 rifle range ? What for ? When i can load up on siege units...
+ 15% rifle attack ? What for ? Germans have the + 15% rifle attack....

In terms of rifle power, koreans are without rival. and that tactic !! #2
In terms of overall firepower with ANY possible army composition, and strategic precision, the germans are unmatched. #1

Other nations have some merits, chinese (exta citizen #4) and french (mega alliance capacity #3) in particular, but brits ???

It's horses for courses, as I said before I think the reason the Brits are popular is because of the fact it's relatively easy to do well with them. I'm playing Brits at the moment, 51 rifles, 6 howitzers, 5 healers, whack them all down and take out the mortars with air cover.

But it's also dull, I did equally well with the Germans and found it more fun. Will soon swap again, possibly back or maybe to the French or Koreans.

Maybe someone can explain this to me, if the defense building has a longer range than the British rifles, why do the defense building not attack them?
