hearth-- since which barrack a unit trains in is completely unrelated to how you choose to launch that troop in battle, I am curious how you see training them in one specific building over another making a strategic difference? It seems to me like the overall composition of the army is what matters in battle, not whether I have trained all my cav in one building, and archers in another. Tre is not suggesting taking away the ability to compose one's army with exact and specific numbers and ratios. Really the only difference I see his suggestion making is how your army would appear on your screen while standing around in your city waiting to attack something? A one stop shop for queuing troops seems worth the trade off for me.
because when you have 120+ units in your barracks, it's really helpful to see quick and easily what amount of units you have. 5 cannons in the back, 4 rows of soldiers in one barracks. a few cavalry and rows of archers in another etc
Having them all over the place you don't know what you have with quick observation, so you have to sit there and count.
when you scout bases, you need to see their weaknesses, not look at your army roster which you should already know
You can remember what you trained 3 day ago?
If you are low level and only have like 40 units which are all the same type that you spam, i guess barrack organising isnt so important
but that suggestion would mean units are trained at different times and sent to different barracks, they are gonna be all over the place. instead of rank and file
have a look at high medal bases, most have organised barracks
