Cannons out of town centre when defending ?

Hi guys I am on enlightenment age and just went to war with another person at a similar age and a couple of cannons rolled out of the town centre and just blew me to bits.
How can I get that to happen on my base please ?

Cannons can be donated to war bases. Have your allies in your alliance donate cannons to your war base during Planning Day, and they would come out in defense of your Town Center when you are attacked in Word War.

All nations have defenders come from town center. Chinese just get more.

if you've requested troops and are donated cannons, when you are attacked the donated troops defend your town centre. Means if you want to attack with cannons donated you have to request again.

I started donating artillery to my weaker guys in my Alliance before the World Wars start and we have a MUCH better victory record..

I have the same problem, artillery coming out of town centers in multi player battles (NOT in a world war). I posted a screenshot below with one of my multi player opponents. Is this a cheat or an upgrade we all can get?

This is something you can get if your Allies donate artillery to you and you don't use it in battle. After you log off, they defend your town if you get attacked.

Marcel - this is not a cheat - when alliance members donate troops to you they effectively serve your civilization and reside in your Town Centre. When you are attacked (non World War attacks), the allies will come out of the Town Centre and and defend your lands. If your alliance members are high enough level to have tanks, cannons or artilery etc then they can donate them to you and serve as regular defenders too.

We do this all the time in our alliance. This also works for World Wars.

the problem about TC defense cannons is they got splash dmg on defense. so as most ppl in worldwar have been donated cannons prepare yourself, either use planes or betrayal - which is my preference no1. how it works, check my replays on my channel (link below)

sabotage on the TownCentre prevents donated troops from coming out as well. just be sure to destroy the TC before your sabotage runs out. Or pop another one on there. works a charm.
