If a nation is a coalition, does that mean it's not going to be a full nation? Like if we already have a American coalition, does that bar America from becoming a full nation?

I really hope not, almost all the requested nations are Coalitions (Egypt, America, Russia to name a few. The game will be a bit dull if there's nothing new in between new ages and backwards patches.

Frankly, it would be quite stupid to have a 'Cold War Age' without having the two nations that actually engaged in the Cold War.

Make them an advanced nation that you have to swap to and you only have that option at industrial or higher.

Umm, Britain, France, and Germany as we know them today didn't exist in the classical age either. So I don't really understand this hangup with a potential USA nation not being available until after a certain time. I never see anyone say the Romans should become Italy by gunpowder age.

It has struck me as odd that there are no Ottomans, Egyptians, Persians, Mongols or Spanish in this game but it's not like this is Civilization, it's Clash of Clans from some of the Civilization designers.

If we're going full pedant then Germany didn't exist until well after the United States had its revolution. There's no need to call them the Holy Roman Empire until a certain age though.
The point being that some misplaced sense of historical accuracy makes as much sense in the context of this game as it would in Starcraft or Street Fighter.

Call them Romans, Zergs, or Dhalsim it's just the name of a player character option.

We're always looking at which nation should come next and as far as I know, the door is open to all.

Ok good, because I had a Nation suggestion in the works, and I could've faced a potential roadblock.

in gunpowder age Italy was a puzzle of little states. we became italy in enlightment age..anyway we never heard about pretorian fusiliers, who were they? fanatics nostalgic of the great roman empire? lol
let's say dominations is a great historical game but doesn't teach you history!

I don't see a problem with the same nations being as nation and coalition at the same time. It doesn't matter.

BTW They can always change the name of the coalitions so ie. America becomes Australia ;)

Agree. I would like to play as Americans from the Aztecs/Indians or Russia from the Mongols/tribes. Going straight to modern America or Russia would take the fun out of it.

Hey, don't forget NZ. We were sailing the seas for thousands of years. Well, not my ancestors but you get my drift! ;)

Exactly! I think they'll introduce USA and Russia as nations with the Cold War age.
