When your farms produce food, do they keep accumulating on the farm until you log in and collect in, put it in the mill?
What about the fruit trees - does the game auto-harvest them or must you always pick them to get its benefit?

Similar question for gold from caravans and roads and gold mines - auto harvest or requires constant user-intervention?

Would seem pretty tedious if all game long we are having to pick fruits and mine gold.

It keeps on accumulating automatically until a limit is reached I believe.

so what is the benefit of manually harvesting fruits and mining gold from the mines?
Is it to get the special goods?

Same thing with hunting - is the benefit really to get the special good and not really for food since the farms produce and auto-collect anyway?

Your farms and caravans can only hold a certain amount of resource. If you click on either one of those it will tell you how much it produces per hour, and the maximum amount of resources it can hold. The markets and mills hold the majority of your resources though. To fill them, yes, you do have to manually touch the icons above the farms and caravans. The trees and mines are just extra ways to obtain resources, and you have to have villagers do those tasks.

The fruit and mines don't auto harvest. You need to pick and mine yourself or it just lies there. But as you get along in the game, you mine and pick for the trade goods not the gold and fruit so much.
