Cooldown time for generals?

How exactly is the cooldown for generals who survive a successful attack decided? Maybe I am missing something, but is seems completely random? Sometimes it is only about 12 minutes, others it is six hours or more. Is it different for each general? Napoleon seems to get the short cooldown far more often than the others? How does deploying two generals affect things?

Seems that the cooldown is related to how much hp your generals got left after the battle. Deploying 2 generals doesn't affect things

That would make sense with Napoleon, since he is ranged he tends to tale less damage thereby having a shorter cooldown more often.

I think that Generals have a very high cooldown period. :( Also, how can we deploy two generals? I'm currently in Medieval age. When I choose one General, the other automatically gets deactivated. Is having 2 generals active simultaneously available GP and higher?

There is a library research at Enlightenment Age that allows you to use 2 generals at the same time.

Yes, cooldown period (24h max) is very long. By comparison, in Clash of Clans, depending on your hero's level, the cooldown period is 30m to 1h 48m.

The cooldown time depends on how much HP your generals lose.

If all HP is lost, then it's 24 hours.

If 50% HP lost, then 12 hours.

If it's a tiny scratch, then probably an hour or so.

Napoleon even without upgrades just rocks. He helps me to take down max EA bases without tactics and blessings having 50%+ of my army back. Plus, he can be used much more often. But Cool down times aren't clear, I agree.

There is one bug related to cool down, which I only noticed very recently: if you upgrade (in the blacksmith) an active general, it remains active and you can use it both in defense and offensive. And in that state, the general will never need to rest from hp loss.
For a while I thought the cool down did not work at all, but that was due to me constantly upgrading generals (from 1 to 5).

I use them now mostly to mop up after my knights took away defences (I am late medieval). In that way they retain all hp.

It would be great if the mighty awesome folks at
Nexon®️ aka BIG HUGE GAMES®️ aka DomiNations®️
would make
General George Patton! He's a Legendary person of History! World War II was heavily influenced by General Patton, and although DomiNations made Churchill a "General" before a making a REAL-LIFE General (George Patton), we can just assume the obvious; the good folks at DomiNations had to make sure all the updates, new ages, & bugs were worked out before inserting such an awesome character, & Real Life history shaper, such as ... 🇺🇸GENERAL GEORGE PATTON 🇺🇸
