Festivus You accuse me of many things in your comment, but if you go through all of my input on this topic, you'll find that I've never asked for those who benefited from this to be punished. After all, they have done nothing wrong. The game presented them with a deal and they chose to accept the offer that the game made to them. The problem is that the offer was not present for the usual 24 hour period and that it was not advertised on the pop up screen for all to see. You accuse me of wanting others to quit the game, and I have never once eluded to that. I have simply asked others to stop spending money in the game until BHG and NexonM take necessary actions to once again create goodwill among the player-base. I have had to call two of my personal friends who play the game and convince them not to quit until we hear what course of action the developers are going to take. As for suggestions, a few hours after the incident, I as well as many others asked for a simple rollback/refund to resolve the incident. Both actions that we all know they are capable of. They decided to take no action. So we find ourselves in a more complex predicament. There are many other suggestions that others on the forum have made, we can only wait to see what they ultimately decide to do.

I don't know if you are playing Dominations or a single player farming simulator. Dominations is a competitive multiplayer game in which players invest time, money, and effort to progress through the game and to compete with other players. When that investment of time, money, and effort to progress is undermined, the competitive aspect of the game becomes meaningless.

It more that I believe nothing meaningful can be done for persistent games like this. You can’t rewind the past as it creates a host of problems much worse than what happened.

And, they don’t have enough people for proper testing so it would be naive to think they have time to fix this.

In a few weeks this will be forgotten. We will all talk about whatever new issue pops up

Necksahn For many, that will be true. For a certain number, they will move on from the game. If that number includes enough spenders who feel cheated, the death of the game comes nearer.

I am with you on your mission, let's not spend a single penny on the game, even if the issue is somehow magically resolved to everyone's liking. :)

Also,

It was not a offer that could be presented. It was a HUMAN ERROR on someone's part. You generally don't(read never) advertise glitches, errors etc on main screen for everyone to become aware of. I am glad that you retained two of your friends to keep playing dominations. I am sure, it will be same for them as well as you.

You think refund/rollback is a easy task to do? I am guessing you have little or no knowledge of how complicated games like this are made. You have to write code for all of that refund/rollback thing to work smoothly, that could take days/weeks depending upon the frameworks already built. If you don't have rollback feature built in game(I am guessing it wouldn't be, because who would assume they have to rollback bases by 24 hours?). Refund could have other issues like what about people who already spent the crowns etc etc. You have to think about a lot of corner cases to undo a fuckup of such scale.

And as nechashn said: in a few days this issue will be forgotten and people will move on.

Ball Hooks..... I dont even look at that screen anymore!

Well vexed, I would have spent more that day than I have in the past year and a half....

😭

Some more Cold Warrers coming up then to make my progress even harder.... LOL

Maybe they could advertise and do another 24 hours for everyone... yeah right, I bet their turning in their graves.... someones gonna get sacked

I think I'm right in saying if somethings incorrectly priced in a shop they have to sell it to you for that price, then they will fast track a numpty to change it back or remove it and not be obliged offer it to the next customers. So I highly doubt you will ever see anything about this embarassing moment again.

Really? And what about us android users who didn't benefit from the initial stuff up?
Some people should run their ideas past others first!

Why should spenders feel cheated? Did they not receive their crowns? Did they receive less crowns than they bought? Did the crowns not perform as expected when they used them? These are valid reasons for feeling cheated.
As someone once said, sour grapes is making all this whining about 'being cheated'.
I for one would be happy if people left this game because of their perceived ''wounding'', more abandoned bases to raid! :D

Manifesto it matters a great deal when you are competing in war. In pvp you have a choice of whether to skip or not. You see one of these over the top upgraded bases and you skip it. When faced with these bases in war they cannot be avoided. And before you say well let one of your Android team mates get them, you would be missing the point. When you spend a lot of time and money progressing in your game and overnight someone who maybe didn’t put so much time in or money progresses farther, it stings a bit. Suddenly your hard work means nothing. Any advantage you had in a war is suddenly and literally overnight diminished. This is why so many people are so angry, I have been around a long time and I know a lot of people and I have never heard so many contemplating leaving the game. Between the Hold the Gates glitch and this I am pretty worried for this game honestly. But I guess as you say... more vacated bases for you to attack. Win-win for you. Not so much for people who play this game to compete in war. The next week or so should tell. Hopefully BHG will come up with a good resolution.

A rollback within 24 hours might have been acceptable; a rollback a week after the fact is not. That's not happening, so if you want solutions, come up with something else. Like I said, I haven't seen you mention a targeted sale - which would be the only truly fair thing to do - so I do wonder about your motivation for starting an extra, unnecessary thread on this topic.

I don't know anyone who is even contemplating quitting over this. That's frankly just stupid. I don't know anyone in my alliances who is even still complaining about it. At worst, it's a speedbump. Tell the drama queens to wipe their tears and go level someone's base.

The ONLY truly competitive aspect of this game is war, and were the beneficiaries of this error concentrated in only a handful of alliances, I might agree with you that this could have a noticeable impact upon the game. But they're not, and it won't. The beneficiaries are distributed across alliances, and if your enemy in war may have benefited from it, so too did someone in your alliance. So give that a rest.

And calling for a boycott... it's your money. But won't that just further handicap you? You do what you want with your money, but this error will not impact my playing or spending one way or another in any way at all.

Manifesto It seems you are choosing not to understand for pedantic reasons. Cheated may not be the precisely correct feeling or word, but close enough to make the point...

If I spent $200 on a purchase, and then two days later see it on sale at the same place for $10, I would feel (fill in the blank), and would attempt to get a price match. If they refused to help, I would return my purchase if possible and stop patronizing the store.

I don't spend on this game, and wouldn't have even given the chance at this deal. But I don't have any trouble appreciating the feelings of those who have paid a lot, and see others get the same benefit for 1/20 of what they paid.

Perhaps that you didn’t spend $200 differentiates you from those who did spend but aren’t complaining?

At least in that scenario everyone would have been able to make use of the 95% off sale. In reality, only a portion of the player-base was handed that privilege. And there is still no acknowledgment from the Devs.

I fully understand your feelings yemen, but the analogy of spending $200 and then seeing it on sale is not something that a store can be held accountable for. A company can offer a sale at anytime, it's their right. If you miss out it's bad luck but that's all it is.
In this case a sale is different to a stuff up but I'm still not sure if the store can be held accountable. Someone stuffed up and some people got a windfall. It should be categorised as 'even worse luck'.
I'm not trying to disregard your feelings but I'm having a hard time justifying your reasoning. Lots of us missed out and for me this is a case of ''oh well''.

To be fair, that portion wasn't ''handed' anything, they were just fortunate enough to be there at the time this stuff up happened.
No-one was out to screw anyone else.
What would you have done if YOU were there at the time; send a ticket to CS to warn them or take advantage of it?

I can cite out a million examples in which companies gave offers differently to their customer base depending upon their spending power.

as unlikely as it sounds, for all that matters to you, someone might have got a target at BHG to improve the number of paying android customers. (not saying it was the case here, but shouldn't matter to you.)

Another example I can cite here that BHG does is exclusive offers in which they offers 40%, 50% extra crowns for sale. The offer clearly states out, exclusively for you.

I will fill in the blank for you, 'bad' is the word that you are looking for.

I would feel _bad_, and would attempt to get a price match(you can ask for it, if you get very good).

"I would return my purchase if possible": while purchasing did you feel like the price that you are paying for product is worth it? if yes, what changed; if no, why buy it in first place? Is the product useful to you? if yes, what changed; if no, why buy in the first place?

Manifesto Regardless of the context in which people were screwed, people were screwed none the less. A remedy is needed to make them feel less screwed and to justify future purchases.

cos_pi Those sales are "exclusive" in name alone, everyone I've spoken to so far in my and two sister alliances receive the same offers at the same predetermined times.
