DomiNations ‘Leaderboards’ v9.8 Update

Greetings Leaders!
Our v9.8 Update ‘Leaderboards’ includes a new type of seasonal Leaderboard and several bug fixes! Read below to see what’s new.

Leaderboards
New seasonal Leaderboards will become available to Leaders at the Classical Age. With these Leaderboards, you can:

• Earn Triumph to progress through the Leaderboard ranks
• Activate powerful new ‘Active Buffs’ during the season
• Earn end of season Rewards based on your ranking

The first Leaderboard Season will kick off shortly after we have pushed the 9.8 update to all players. Keep an eye on our socials to see when the season goes live!

Leaderboard Season 1 Changes
During the first season of Leaderboards we will temporarily be reducing the troop retrain timer from 10 hours to 6 hours.
This change will revert back to the normal 10 hours after Season 1 ends.


Minimum Specifications Change
To ensure better play quality, DomiNations will no longer support Android OS 4.4 or earlier. To continue playing DomiNations, players will need to update their device to Android 4.5 or above.


Bug Fixes and Improvements
Our bug fixes in this update include:

• Watching a video for artifact crafting will no longer affect the one-time cost-reduction bonus
• Purchasing a single artifact at full price will no long use up the multi artifact one-time cost-reduction bonus
• Fixed an issue with the price of building Roads displaying incorrectly
• Fixed a display issue with Speed Ups icons in the Store

New Known Issues
In this update we’ve found the following bug, but have chosen not to delay the release since it should not affect normal gameplay:

• A game crash occurs when a player starts a multiplayer battle and remains idle until the ‘Time Remaining’ timer runs out

We plan to address this bug in a future release

1. will this leaderboard substitute the Event Leaderboard we have now?
2. you are prioritizing bugs that are negligible compared to others that are far more serious. When can we have the fix for the defence log inaccuracy ?

The Seasonal Leaderboards are separate from Event Leaderboards, we'll continue to run events as normal during the Leaderboard season.

Sometimes a bug that has a more streamlined and simple fix will get placed ahead of ones that require more dev time (like the LRR issue) but we got a lot of feedback in our recent survey to help us prioritize bugs going forward and the LRR bug is very high on that list.

Medal drop attack with single troop should be excluded from Leaderboard ranks, at least attack with 1+ army should be considered

Hi, since the new Leaderboard landed today, one of my Alliance colleagues cannot navigate the instruction screens. Instead the game crashes every time. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Medal count doesn't appear to factor in to the new leaderboard, only whether you attack an age above you, the same, or below you. This means that dropping medals to find easy bases an age above you will be an advantage, except that all the battles you "lose" by dropping one troop will hurt your leaderboard position. Likewise, you will find yourself moving up the leaderboard overnight from whatever people dropped one troop on your base to drop their own medals. None of this rewards actual intelligent gameplay.

I predict that I will end up completely ignoring the new leaderboard and just playing on as usual. I appreciate that this is coming from a skeleton crew of developers trying to make new "features" from 90% recycled game code, but it doesn't seem very well thought out.

None of this rewards actual intelligent gameplay.

I think that much is obvious. This is simply more-of-the-same-with-a-twist. Like you said 'recycled'
Business as usual for me: Log in, collect LRR, play few times for no other reason than 'because', then log off and let others raid my easy rss. Repeat.
More than happy to help lower ages out there with the OP defensive nature of the game.

Hey how about those permanent bans last night to the high VIPs in game and being told by game master roda to.f off so when you going to post about this and how much of personal info was stolen from us clearly our email was and all in game.things so Leviathan when exactly does this get handled right?

Our Support team is working through these affected accounts now, we are restoring them to the same state they were in prior to the incorrect ban. You should also receive an inbox message and additional compensation as an apology for the inconvenience. If you still believe anything is missing from your account please contact Customer Support so they can replace it! Your personal info was not affected.

Only response I got is exactly what you just said and in game said exactly the same copy and paste crap take the 500 crowns our of my account I don't want that 2 cents when I lost 100$ worth [USER][/USER]iathan

They are only replacing crowns/items that were removed by the party in question, the 500 comp is just for the time lost. If you think there have been any crowns removed that were not accounted for please let CS know, they are able to review those logs to make sure it gets replaced!

Op defense nature of the game? Don't you mean op offense nature of the game? Bhg penalizes defense average everywhere except at the very top. And that's a very small percentage of the player base.
