So, i've got these two artifacts.

If upgraded, together are better than Saladin's "Hold the gates"?
Question no2: Why is "defender spawn time" in weapon category and not armor, being a defensive feature?

You see how they increase the defender spawn time? That is because these bonuses affect how fast your enemy's defenders spawn when you are attacking them, not your defenders when you are being attacked.

And the question is, why is it “-11%”? Which means that defenders will spawn faster, and it’s definitely not what I want from my weapon))

negative one affects your own defenders when an enemy attacks your base.

positive one affects enemy defenders when you make the attack

Definitely fishy, as Defender spawn time with negative sign should be in the Armor category artifact. The Weapon category artifacts should be about the buffs, when you are on attack, while the Armor category artifacts should increase your base defense when an opponent attacks your base...

This one affects enemy defender spawn time and it is also a weapon artifact. The ones i posted before, affect your own defender spawn time, but i don't get why aren't they in armor category.

@Bedlam When you'll attack a base with Saladin's research completed, you'll understand why you shouldn't sell those 2 artifacts. :)

Defender Spawn Time reduces the time for your defenders to generate when you defend. The -11% makes sense, but the +6% does not.

Enemy Defender Spawn Time increases the time for defenders to generate when you attack.

i like that Spawn Time perks are on weapons because then I can use Enemy Defender Spawn Time when I am attacking and switch to Defender Spawn Time when I log off.

Seems like with all of these new mods around one of them could jump in here and clear up any confusion. Instead, one, ten, fifty, they're about as taciturn as ever.

Despite the fact that these bonuses affect Defenders which indeed fall under the same category as those other Armor Artifact Bonuses, Enemy Defender Spawn Time and Defender Spawn Time are both bonuses that can only be seen in Weapon Artifacts.

And yes, having two Artifacts with Defender Spawn Time bonuses can be better than Saladin's "Hold the Gates" so long as neither one of them start at 1% bonus.

Although, it is indeed weird to have both negative and positive values on the same bonus as they are either positive-only bonuses or negative-only bonuses. We'll take a look at this one :)

@NxM_Suleiman Thanks for your answer. So we do have defensive features on the weapon category.
About the positive value, i think it was a visual glitch? Is it possible? Cause today it looks normal. Defender spawn time values on both artifacts are negative.

It is highly likely in your case, as Defender Spawn Time have negative values on them.

I hardly think the question of 'should be armour or should be weapon' is even worth talking about.
The question should be ''how feasible is it to upgrade these artifacts to negate Saladin's bonus?''.
Good luck getting the necessary supplies & blueprints.

I agree, though I have the funny feeling they just won't be able to help themselves. Perhaps the ever-popular ''data'' will demand it. At the very least, I expect to see legendary artifacts (cash only of course) that affect wars. Time will tell.

They don't negate Saladin's bonus, they add to it. 2 artifacts with "defender spawn time" +11 would be in total 40% defender spawn time. Added to Saladin's 25% it's huge! 65% on 17 secs, that means defenders will spawan every 6 secs.

And there is the "enemy defender spawn time" artifact, that negates the "defender spawn time" artifact, use one when online, use the other when signing off. What a mess:))

In my experience anything over 30% total Defender Spawn Time reduction has diminished returns. It takes 8-10 seconds for the spawned unit to travel and die before the next ready spawn triggers.

While the +/- spawn times are conflicting I tend to agree with Bedlam and would have sold both of these. Keep looking for artifacts with 11% and/or 6% in the first two slots or better. Beyond that it becomes a labor of love.

Ok, I was thinking about enemy defender spawn rates.
But is it easier to get Saladin's capstone or upgrade these artifacts? Seems extremely difficult to me to do either.

You will eventually find something in the first row so yes please sell them. The cost to get to level 2 is 400 supplies and they are not easy to come by. I would spend to get to level 2 as long as level 1 and 2 are useable to you (And both 11%).
