ESTABLISHED ALLIANCES GETTING NO NEW MEMBERS

I invite all alliance leaders who are upset or concerned by the lack of new players to join their aliance since the update to DomiNations to contact me through Line at JollytheWise so I can provide you with further information and discuss some ideas for remediation of this problem. Check me out. My alliance is called Elite Dominator (horse head flag). We have been around for over a year. I am not suggesting this as a way of poaching players. I regard poaching as unethical.

Since the patch a few weeks ago we can't get anyone to join. We're a year old alliance with 17,000 alliance score. We used to purge our inactive and non-donors until that update. Since then, nobody has joined our alliance. We used to be able to kickout 10 members and we'd refill in 24 hours. Just another obvious issue that Nexon doesn't care about. I actually think they're trying to kill off alliances personally.

The faucet turns on for us occasionally. I can tell when it does because 4-5 players will join in an hour. But it's only been 3 times now since the last update. We run 20v20 wars constantly and have 30+ active players. Total medals 7-9K.

it's speculation and slanderous to insinuate that nexon is trying to kill off old alliances.

1. old alliances are usually full of high level players
2. high level players intimidate the average new player
3. new players join lower level alliances to learn with players of similar caliber
4. old alliances should consider merging with other old alliances
5. egos often get in the way of success

this game is not a game to play for a few weeks and be a top dog .. it takes years. Stick with your group. show loyalty to each other and embrace new players as a part of the family when they come. lower your standards to include everyone .. the high end talent is probably already in an alliance and loyal to them. be a teacher and a motivator.

Couldn't agree more, you may be across dresser Hugh but you make a great point, stick in an alliance help it grow and reap the rewards. Instant success only comes to cheats or hacks, no fun in that

I share Hugh Jazz's sentiment.

Invictus hasn't had any issues as far as recruitment goes, and we aren't even really actively pushing it. We'll boot a few people who are over 7 days Inactive(without notice of course) and we remain rather full-up. We also have a huge diversity of players ranging from levels 50 to 150 so it isn't that we are too low level or too high level for people to want to join, either.

If anyone cares to add me on LINE, as well my ID is ambria-ia or ambria.ia. One of those two, I can't recall which I picked.

Our alliance has seemed to benefit from the new update. Initially, we went several weeks without any new members but in the last 2-3 days we have gained about 6-7.

As you know ArizonaBay, from our chat in the Line leaders group, your alliance is an exception. The problem is persisting for most other alliances. I find it incredible that any business would so blatantly spit in the faces of its best customers but that seems to be what is being done here. It may be coincidence but Nexon's share price has steadily been declining since this debacle started and it dropped another 63 again today. The world of gaming creates passionately loyal customers. It simply mystifies me that this company is treating them like enemies.

All good advice and attitude Hugh Jazz, but simply irrelevant. Before the change there was a flow of new players joining established alliances. They could set requirements and enforce them and foster those new allies they wished to. Now THERE ARE NO NEW PLAYERS JOINING ESTABLISHED ALLIANCES. When new players aren't joining, how one treats them is irrelevant.

Frankly that also is irrelevant. If invictus has no problem that does not negate the many many posts in the forums clearly stating that for those alliances there IS a problem. And I say this with great respect for both you and your alliance as you have helped us recruit new players for my alliance and I sincerely thank you for that.

I don't understand why the drop off either .. someone wrote a bad algorithm or something. The alliance I am in hasn't gained very many new players since the update in question but neither are we losing the loyal members we have.

I would think that the fact that new players are just too small to meet the requirements of established groups plays a part in this. the flip side is, do established groups really want to open up the flood gates and take medieval and lower players just for the sake of numbers ?

as players become more frustrated with the business that Nexon is conducting, older alliances will disband and the players will seek refuge in other groups. this may take months but it is almost a certainty.

Did you guys ever figure anything out? My alliance hasn't had a new member in at least a month.
