Most players stop upgrading their farms and caravans at level 14 because of the increase in workers required for further upgrades. It could help the game's resource economy to reduce the workers required to upgrade from 4 to 2 for farms and caravans above level 14. As time has advanced throughout history, a smaller actual work force is needed to complete projects with the introduction of computers and machinery.

You won't get any argument from me but doesn't it increase xp significantly if you upgrade farms and caravans?
So regardless of the workers needed it would help people get to lvl220 and CW, wouldn't it?

Those upgrades reward a great deal of experience, but the problem there is that the player level is entirely irrelevant besides to fulfill the CWA level 220 requirement. Also, there are so many upgrades in the atomic age that a player can easily reach the level 260s while ignoring their farms and caravans.

Up to IA, farm / caravan will give you a great deal of experience. but GA and later, it is not worth to do so

I'd better use my citizens elsewhere. I even prefer sending them on expeditions, rather than having them upgrade farms, caravans, storehouses etc.

I like having my farms and caravans upgraded because it’s nice when you collect from them after a while and there’s 100,000 sitting in them. Just means less raiding needed to get the resources.

And I realy dont understand why they choose to permant increase production rate 40%, but not reduce the upgrade time / worker requirement.
if it take one worker for less than a week, a lot of players will upgrade farm / caravan to max level
