Foot soldiers with more dos than cavalry!

That's it. After giving these guys at nexon the benefit of the doubt I'm finaly throwing in the towel on them. What kind of retarded decision making process leads you to nerf cavalry to the point where you have foot soldiers doing more dps? Now we have tanks that can't out do a regular foot soldier yet cost considerably more and take up 6 times the space. There's balance for you. I'm sure the same guy who can't fix the important issues like disappearing bases, loss of medals and hackers that's also responsible for game balance issues.

Calvary (Lancer) has 6534 HP and foot soldiers has about 300 HP. In a well-designed base, foot soldiers won't even be able to get close to the mortars and ballistas. You may want to re-look into your base design and defense strategy.

Not sure but you might have misunderstood my post. I'm having no problems as far as my base design goes it's actually performing well. I just think it was a very stupid idea to nerf cavalry to such an extent that a foot soldier can do more DPS.

Just from a historical perspective... Foot soldiers can generally do more damage per second as they are more mobile and have a greater freedom of motion. Heavy cavalry are bulky and cumbersome. Which is why cavalry charge and retreat or drive through targets, and repeat this process. That is where their strenght is. So, if you account for the fact that they would not be constantly engaged like foot soldiers they would have a lower damage rate.

Hah. You forgot about the generals. Level 1 General (Alex and Cleo) compared to Pikeman
  • ~28x hitpoints
  • ~44x food cost
  • ~0.5x dps
  • 24hrs nap time if killed in action vs 35s training time

The nerf was an unnecessarily bad idea & its a fact. You'll learn it when they'll nerf some other unit which could to be your Unique one.

I'd understand if they buffed balista towers or even reduced HP of cavalry... But reducing DPS is a mistake, caz now they can't break walls as they should and die, so they only can distract catapults now what is hardly covers 6 slots usage. DPS lower than a footman is pathetic, caz DPS is the MAIN parameter among others.

Balancing is always tricky. We should be enticed to use wall sappers to break through walls. I found it absurd that a few cavalry could vaporize wall pieces. Usually if infantry attempt to do the same thing they are smashed by a mortar. Like I said, balancing is tricky and cavalry still need work.

Yes, but sappers do not really help when you face strong bases with over 7 sections. They probably need to make them using less slots and build faster. hc crashing walls is much less absurd than samurais smashing double L7 walls in a few seconds. There should be proper balance between HC/footmen/archers too, not just attack/defense balance.

Very true regarding Japanese and German infantry crushing walls. Seems a lot of work needs to be done on their part. The combat formulas are very unbalanced.
