Force Close Glitch

The force close glitch doesn't have to be a problem. Here are the items that need to be adjusted:

1. Traps are automatically reset for no cost
2. Defensive blessings last 8 hours
3. Alliance troop donations are not eliminated after a force close or defensive victory
4. Loot and medals are awarded (transferred) only when a battle log is produced

Maybe just do something simple for the medals part of the problem: one medal goes from the attacker to the defender if the attack doesn't complete normally.

Happened again just now.... Few minutes after I came out of PT I logged into the game and "Voila" the traps were already tripped, resources lost but no report and not medal loss/gain...

And again... I am now logging in every 5-10 minutes just to check, and I just had a second "forced close" attack in ca 30 min. I wonder how many other people, who do not check as often as I do, have.

Looks like it is TC snipers who are worst at this.. because only my traps around the TC is tripped.

I wonder if I should ask for a refund for all the gold I spent resetting traps...

Well with me it is the exactly same traps that are tripped every time. It is my "Highway to H***" where I want to lead TC snipers to and then kill them off :)

Nothing I like more than watch people throw 10-15 raiders at my TC, watch them all die, then they put a new raider somewhere else on my map to lead my defenders away before they send the rest of their troops at my TC and they die too :)

Makes my day - but this forced close glitch is taking away my joy...

Happened again!!!!

That is the third time in one hr....

Now I am starting to get seriously seriously seriously "pip" "pip"... (no, I am not turning into a chicken...) :)

Usually I would never discover this frequency because I do not log on before after I get notified I have been attacked.. With this glitch I get no notifications.
The person who comes after a forced close attack comes to "highway to heaven" to my TC where the mine disposal unit has cleared the path for him.

And now I got a proper attack and lost a lot of resources... Only comfort is that I now have a PT I can enjoy until I get home...

If the force close glitch wasn't there one of the earlier three attackers would probably have taken out my TC by using more troops and giving me a PT (Only reason I have a sacrificial TC...), In stead I get attacked 4 times and the last time I end up loosing 700k resources.

Ironangel, can you please at least add this to the known bugs and issues sticky? as it is now it seems like the players are the only ones aware of this problem, and it just makes it worse when there is no acknowledgement from the programmers that this issue exist.

it gets tiresome to see traps sprung and resources stolen but no medals awarded, then the next attack can just walk thru unimpeded by traps and alliance troops.

I've reported this to CS in game, but they don't seem like they care to investigate the issue.

Forget about it guys. I reported these ghost attacks in February. Nexon is doing nothing. Forum moderators don't even view as an issue. If Nexon does nothing and refuses to list it as an issue, then it's a legitimate game strategy. I suggest that more players should use the the force-close strategy. I'm not obsessed with medals, but I don't like losing 39 medals on a hacked maxed-up base either. We've said it's an issue, in fact I addressed it in that thread!

I'm working on a way to detect this happening in the interim so we can take some steps. Until we can fix it, I'd like to stem it from happening.

I'm glad that the issue is getting the attention it deserves, and I'm all for it to have the game working properly, but...

When I started out with the game I played on my iPad Mini, first generation, always updated to the latest iOS. This was obviously at lower medal levels. I had frequent crashes where I attack, and halfway through the attack, I'll suddenly be staring at my iPad's desktop. This was pre-training blessing days so it was such a bummer having to wait for my troops to retrain. IRC I even engaged with CS on the matter and might have posted on this forum as well, can't seem to find it though.

Anyway it eventually frustrated me so much that I 'loaned' my son's iPad Air and all of a sudden, problem resolved. It was obvious then that the older generation iPad was the issue and not as much the game. Being on loan, I frequently had to swop back, lol, and again the same issue remained on the mini.

Eventually upgraded to a new Air for myself ;)

So yes although it seems that the majority of 'force close' is intentional, I can see hundreds of faults flooding customer service if they start banning every force close without detecting the difference between application crash (like above), lost connection and actual intentional force quit.

I agree if there is no log take 10 medals at least for dropped internet or force quite.If it is truely connection issue the sorry to hear why us spending thousand on crowns have to stop playing because of their issues.

Sorry Ironangel I can't follow you!
Take a look at all the other games. If you will close the game or lose the connection in a battle, the battle will count!
Solving this issue should be your priority one!
The frustration of your players is very high, Our alliance losing more and more players, because they all frustrated!

my 2 cents ...

Ironangel where is this listed in the know issues post? There is one listed about reports not appearing in attack logs, but that's incomplete. The issue includes that traps get tripped and must be reset and players are deprived of defensive victories and medals. I'm sure people don't care about the report missing as much as those things.
