Found a fun way to get rid of cheater-bases. AKA The Big Bulldoze

When playing the medal game I became immensly frustrated and annoyed by the large amount of cheaters and (inactive) cheater bases. You can read about it here: https://forum.nexonm.com/forum/nexon...the-next-level. So I decided not to care about it any more and drop in medals. I didn't attack real players but only used some raiders to harvest cheater bases. In doing so I made a lot of resources in a very short period of time.

I was never interested to be in the top 10 or even in the top 100 on the leaderboard, but I was interested in the juicy bonusses that go hand in hand with a high medal count. At the moment however there is barrier starting around the 1800-2000 medal range which takes away all the fun. This barrier is made up of cheaters and (abandoned) cheater bases.

Now these cheaters are not interested in resources; after all they don't need them because they are allready maxed out. All they want is medals.

So here's the plan. Lets just give them those medals. If you come across a cheater base rich in resources just drop some raiders, cash in on those richly stocked farms and caravans and withdraw. Make sure you don't win the battle. It will cost you medals but in return you do get a lot of resources.

In doing this we will effectively bulldoze these bases ahead of us and leave a mostly clean playing ground behind us. Very soon these bases will move up in levels and eventualy all of them will come floating to the top where BHG can mop them up if they want. Leaving us with the possibility to move up after them and enjoy the benefits of playing on a higher level.

At the moment I'm lurking in the 1600-1800 area. I'm moving up cheaters at a rate of one per six attacks. Only if I risk dropping below 1600 I win a few battles against regular players.. As soon as there are hardly any cheater bases left I can move up to the 1800-2000 interval to rince and repeat. If more people who are frustrated by this barrier would follow suit it would be highly appreciated and speed up the process.

It's a noble effort but impossible to universally coordinate. Even if they're at the top in the spotlight Nexon still won't do anything to their hacked bases and maxed walls.

Easiest way to clean up some of the hacks in my opinion, would be to release an update tomorrow for level 14+ walls. I'm sure BHG would have analytics on wall upgrades, and anyone whose walls are maxed within the first week or so would be red flagged and checked for crown purchases or queued for lethal injection.

Good idea Ivan. But that would imply BHG's willingness to do something about this problem.

Exactly! They have had that same opertunity with every upgrade in the past and have done nothing. Nexon and Cheating go hand in hand, they are like two peas in a pod

That's a terrific idea, but a better one is to get better banning tools in action (which we're working on). Help is of course appreciated! We've got several things in the works right now, and as soon as I have news I'll post it :)

Good to hear. My biggest gripe of course are players that cheated and received temporarily bans/sanctions while nothing was done to address their crown hacked max walls that they've kept.

There is a new problem. Cheater do not need to max there walls, they can keep them at lvl 7 and make them indestructible.

Looking forward to that. And while you are at it could we please get rid of the force quit feature. It's currently costing me several 100k in gold every day.

Any updates on the force close issue? The game is a mess right now while this exploit exists. I suggest you just treat any disconnect as a loss. It sucks for those who disconnect for legitimate reasons, but that is the breaks if you decide to play on an unstable internet connection.

I personally like the league bonus of 160K plus at the higher medal counts. I do not like the cheaters and have no idea how anyone who doesn't cheat could possibly have maxed out walls but I like to five star those guys. I do not know if its possible but I would look at their iTunes or GooglePlay account and see if they have spent thousands of dollars or see if they play 24 hours a day which is the only way you can remotely have the chance to get walls at that level with the defenses being maxed out. They would have to have looted over 1 billion in gold/food and millions in oil. I just do not believe anyone would spend that much time or money on a game, no matter how much fun it is. To conclude once you have established the fact that these players have NOT met these criteria BAN THEM FOR LIFE!! Love Always LUDOG (Rogue Mafia)

I just had another thought on the force close exploit. If attacks in World War are lost on a disconnect, why isn't the same methodology applied to "normal" attacks for medals?

Exactly, I was thinking the same thing. Such an easy solution.

Removing the force quit exploit would be the easiest way for BHG to show to the community that they do care about this game and its players. There is absolutely no justification not to do it.
