Garrisons

Would like to hear from players. Do Garrisons serve any purpose on your bases? Do you feel Garrisons are outdated? Should Garrisons deploy riflemen instead of infantry? How do you utilize the Garrisons?

For me in the Global Age, I have the Acropolis-boosted garrisons deploy wave after wave of infantry close to where most attackers deploy their army. They slow down the enemy (especially the heavy tanks) by a lot.

You could look at increasing the qty of infantry per wave and slow the spawn rate. ambush troops are 9 infantry, whereas garrisons send out only 4 infantry per wave. This could be tweaked.

Yeah, they're a distraction and good cannon fodder while your other spawning tanks & HTs are massing ...

Having said that, if they were boosted in some way I wouldn't mind. Maybe each garrison should have a pillbox in the front with a rifleman providing additional cover?

When I do get beat rarely is it by ground troops

Yes it's just planes, ground troops need a buff or addition of new defender building like bazooka sentry or helipad,
Now only bunker nd arsenal are threat to most of players

Well, you can't just "delete" the garrisons and depots once you get to the higher ages...

Actually your missing facts garrison fight para, spy, infiltrator , when combined troops spawn from farms and other buildings they can slow and overwhelm attackers drastically.

Sorry garrison equipped with right munitions are effective
