If you don't agree that he is a good choice, that is your perogative. While i compared him to fictional characters i stated that some gamers like to play the bad guy and most people will agree that Hitler was indeed a bad guy.

You strike me as more of an enthusiast for a Rainbow Brite general .. Maybe Tenderneart the Care Bear.

Guess it wasn't just silly rib-poking. I think we're reaching a point in time when people are starting to see the horrific events of WW2 as irrelevant or there is a general lack of understanding/appreciation regarding the scope of Nazi atrocity. Kind of scary, I have been hoping that a deep-seated aversion to Hitler's germany and all that it represented would continue to be a deterrent, or at least a poignant warning to humanity, but it seems that this poignancy is fading fast and I dont think this is limited to Gamers or Forum addicts...

To overcome Hitler, you have to make allies even with the communists!! Without the URSS, or with it neutral to Germany, or without Hitler's stupidity of invading Russia (A country History has proven to not be meant to be invaded...), would you have won the war??

You already have a lot of trouble just with Jap guys.

Admit it, without the URSS front, you would probably have not been able to deal with Hitler's Germany, so much that even so many years after, it keeps being your obsession...
That's why I would like to see Russia as another Nation for the Global Age - and Georgy Zhukov as a General. He had a look that would make Patton wet himself !!

The Russians (of old) with their artillery doctrine would scare the living s**t out of any nation - and what a tank army they had ..... once Stalin trusted his Generals to do what they do best....

Of course - new generations, new ideas - and unfortunately a lack of relevance ..... guess it's up to us old timers to keep educating the young 'uns ..... or is that ''pestering'' them ??!

Patton best represents the global age, plus already has a tank named after him.

The tank tactics the Russian used in WW2 were copied from the Germans and later used against the Germans. Russian just had a superior number of tanks. Germans had the better tanks.

So I believe we should get a German general. Afterall the Germans invented Blitzkrieg.

Yes they invented Blitzkrieg but the Russians used mobile artillery with tank strategy better than anyone. Today even the Americans copy Russian tank doctrine.

So :p

The Germans used mobile artillery in WW2. Example are the Stugs as they were initially designed to be assault tanks supporting infantry but later converted to tank destroyers. Other models came out as the Hummel.

In the first couple of months the Germans swept through Russia till the Rissian Winter stopped them. Once the Russians had learned the German tactics they hit back.

Russians just had more resources (men and material) so they could use the mobile artillery strategy more effectively. Germany didn't have the number of tanks the Russians had.

So 😜

Eh. The Spanish Verdeja tanks were named after Captain Felix Verdeja Bardales.
