Global oil

I've spent 2-3 months in Empire 3 & 2 and have not found a single base like that. I did find a lot of bases with 5-6k+ of oil, and plenty of 500-600k+ food and gold, but even with league bonuses it didn't add up. Add no opponent message and higher stress levels on top of that. Bullying bases in lower leagues is a lot more efficient, and I can net a lot more resources in the same amount of time than being in higher league.

hmm, the plot thickens... well I'm staying down in the resort leagues until I've maxed my global offense, maybe I'll even update my sucky ea level defense, before climbing back to empire....

For me it comes down who can generate more resources. Bottom can only generate resource from farms, caravans, and oil well. The top can generate substantial more resource from both (farms, caravans and oil well) and league bonus. You can get to the bottom relatively easy for the top you need endless grinds to get there.

Greekgod, you are lucky then. Sure I also see dozens of cheaters and lvl 187/188 bases with a vast amount of resources. But those maxed bases are too hard to attack for me with ia troops. The new defenders out of any buidlings the new traps make my army feel like gunpowder vs enlightenment. Also the walls are too tough ( and look ugly by the way). I d like to take advantage of those cheaters base, sure, but i would have to pay 39 medals for that each run then.

I'd do the airstrip first, but the Old Man is telling me to get the Bazooka, so until the Factory is done that's one quest slot taken up permanently. 2nd slot is Research a Global Library Tech leaving only one space for the dear old bunny hunt/build 1000 tactics/hire 5000 mercs.

So Library under way, Factory next to get my free crown income back on track, which is alot more important than gold/food/oil

Ok, now I am starting to understand the mysterious empire league economy...doesnt sound as bad as I thought....

I used to be wary of getting to the high leagues too but since I took the plunge I'm hovering comfortably around 2400+. I log on in the morning and next til I find a base with a nice number of medals, then log off. After work I'll log back on and battle again. I usually get attacked twice a day and twice at night but with most defences only -1 medal I more than make up for the loss when it's my turn.
FYI, my food/gold are almost always maxed and even with my tortoise strategy I'm upgrading Napolean every 2 weeks or so. (only 3 more levels til he gets a tank!)

If you're spending a good few hours playing a night I imagine you would be able to survive up here even easier.

I was thinking of a combination of oil barrels purchased by diamonds and saved in reserve and strategically purchased peace treaty. I imagine most players who play this game for free are spending 15 days waiting for their oil refinery to finish both upgrades before even having the space to hold that much oil.

I Would like to know if there is a cap (maximum) on the amount of oil that could be looted?

Yeah this is whats getting me even in IA. You finally start getting some decent oil saved then some so-in-so in GA flies his two zeps or B17's over and suddenly all that saving is gone! They gotta fix this shite cause its damn well annoying.

Also what is the best "age" in IA or GA?? Germans?
