Although this list shows the strength of the glory rankings with different sized wars, I still feel the way to the top is being able to match with an opponent that has enough glory to give both alliances 300 or more glory to the winner every match. No matter the size of the war, if one alliance is hovering at 12k, the better alliance (95% of 12k glory alliances will lose said war) only gets less than 100 glory. Now I'm putting these opinions out from what I'm seeing and we pretty much stay around 17k glory. We pretty much match with alliances that are hovering at 12k.

Again, Nexon stated that Alliances that are winning alot of wars would give that alliance a higher % to match other alliances that also wins wars. I think there are more hidden elements that are at fault. This glory issue has done become so frustrating we don't even worry about it anymore. We're basically going back to pre-glory mentality and just trying to have fun.

As of right now, if you ain't stacking, it's hard packing this crap they call glory.

In VanCity's current 35x35 war, we can win 69 glory or lose 1233. Pretty hard to move up the rankings when you can only win 69 glory.

Another war another total of 731 glory in a 15x15. You sure 15x15 is supposed to be 741?

Sorry. I had to have typed it wrong. It should be 731.4606741573034. [100 divided by 89 times(651)]

With all those fractions and the system with how much Glory the other alliance has, is why it's likely to be off by 1.

Sorry for digging up an old topic, but we had different amounts of glory in the last two wars, both same size: 15 vs 15
I wish i would have paid attention to the previous ones. 8 for the win, 770 if we lose in the war before, 27 for the win, 632 if we lose in the next war.

Has anyone refined the calculation for how glory loss+gain total and split are determined?

Our current war is 136/729 for a 20x20 war. 865 doesn't seem to fit your schedule.

Probably best to wait until after next update when they lift the disincentive for sandbagging as they said in the live stream on Friday. I thought they did that a long time ago as we get robbed all the time by sandbaggers. Now apparently they will be able to take more now.

Toward the end of the Dev Q&A (just before the break) when they talked about sandbagging.

53 minutes mark on Twitch Jan26 broadcast. Not sure I understood it correctly but sounds like they feel they don’t have to penalize teams for sandbagging any more because they fixed matchmaking and we shouldn’t be seeing as many mismatches. But our team has seen 2 in the past week with devastating glory loss on our side so I’m not sure what she is talking about there. Matchmaking is getting better but it’s not fixed to the point that sandbagging should be rewarded extra glory Imho.
