Glory Points Confusion

Recently somehow the floodgates on our clan opened up on us so we thought that this would be great. We could now go from a 10 person war to higher wars because the thought was that there is more glory in higher person wars. Well wouldn't you know it, our glory win points are dropping. Since the increased war size we have gone to a +75|-360, a +78|-254 and now a +59|-339. I only recently started keeping track of the glory points available in excel format but I can tell you this, every war we have been in we have seemingly been outnumbered by ages above us but the glory for and against us has always been way out of proportion. I know that doesn't mean a lot because we have a 27/5 record and maybe there are calculations that come into play that I just can't see but every war at the outset it looks like we should get wiped off the map. Or, maybe the other teams that we are facing also see a different number for their possible glory points? I sure wouldn't mind seeing us sitting on the +360 point side someday. lol

Biggest factor in determining Glory seems to be how much Glory the opposing alliance has. This war we gain 11, lose 720, 20 person war. Our alliance has 19,126 glory, opposing alliance has just 12,000.

If you've taken in lots of new low age players, it will probably offset all the glory gained by going for a larger war.

It's not complete breakdown of how glory is calculated, as in the Q&A it says the dismiss they bottom few ranks.
