So it's switching to that tab where you change stuff; in-game there is no change possibility any more.
Yes, switching between 'windows' from your 'recents' tab. (The in-game tab is gone)
NOTE: doing this will remove the "Ask each time" setting - so if you want to keep this setting guess you'll need to log out and open the app each time.

What he said. :giggle:
That works when you first open the game. To switch while the game is active, tap your 'recents' tab and open the Google page again (assuming it's still there), select a new account, then select Dominations from your 'recents' tab.
it does load what account you want to BUT IT FIRST LOADS the account you were using last time and then proceeds to load the account you selected a minute before. This is not working correctly and it causes us to load the game twice every time for every god damn account.
THis is very bad for me

Finally had enough and quit after 6 years. This latest issue being the final straw. What a way to treat players aka customers making it unplayable. Absolute bunch of clowns.

I've just uninstalled the game today myself.

There's already too much friction to get into this game, the loading times, all the pop ups, now we're supposed to have an extra pop up just to be able to switch accounts?

Either reduce the upgrade times considerably so I can stay with 1 account, or make it easier to switch between accounts, not harder.

And those are only the users that care to reply here; Dominations has lost too many players over the years already & this (and 'improvements' earlier) is part of the idea of keeping/ attracting players? That's not worth a 'well done'...

This change was brought about because Google introduced something in their security patch that increased the number of crashes that we were seeing.
I don't understand how having the original button in-game had an affect on the number of crashes. I was always advised by CS that experiencing crashes was the result of my (obviously) poor internet connection.
Oh well. I'm not a techie, just a simple player.

This brings back the Google Play prompt at the beginning of the game (faster account switching without having to open the google play app)
On some devices, the connect button also returns in the game

Disclaimer: all without liability, as I work neither for Google nor for bhg.
This prompt doesn't always work for me. It's there when I first open the app but sometimes, after closing the app and opening again then choosing another account, it often takes me back to the same account. The connect button is there but does nothing for me.
I frequently have to go back to the google settings to actually change the account. Talk about hit and miss.
Just another example of things introduced or changed in this game which then brings about another problem - which ultimately gets put in the "oh well, guess it's a feature now' basket.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We take your privacy seriously.

The team is looking into this. While the data isn't directly private information, and we are compliant with Privacy Laws, we understand the concern.

The SocialID and PictureURL are remnants of our now-closed Facebook linking feature; the SocialID is a unique identifier (like a gamertag) that is accessible to anyone playing games that link with Facebook (like a leaderboard). The picture is the profile pic for that Facebook ID (not your personal name). These, along with 'has purchased,' are identifiers for the support team and us.
Thank you for the answer, but I can't completely believe it either.
I think we have a different understanding of private information. If I choose to introduce myself to the world as 'Batman', then 'Bruce Wayne' is private information that should not be shared with everyone I fight.

If 'socialName' is just a Facebook relic, then all google play games users should have NULL there, since we knowingly chose google play over facebook. However, the field is also filled for google accounts.

I did a few tests, so my answer is a bit delayed. It seems that for newer google accounts the socialName is filled with the google play games id. (This is actually not private information, as this id is exactly meant for logging into games). However, in older accounts, like mine, socialName is not the google play id, but the name from my google account. I have not yet been able to differentiate exactly whether DisplayName or GivenName + Surname, as these are the same in many cases. But either way, THIS is private information that is not meant to be shared with EVERYONE in the game.

After investigation the team has determined that definitively this isn't Personal Information. If you named your ID something that is Personal Information (something we and other games STRONGLY advise you not to do) you would need to update that on your own account. Players who have this information cannot access any information that isn't already publicly available.

Firstly, once again:
For older accounts (2015 until at least 2018) you obviously didn't use the google play id. I have several examples of this!

Secondly, even if I update the information in the google account, you still have the old name a day later. That means you are collecting data, especially the google account name instead of the google play id, that is none of your business and changing it afterwards is of no use to me.

edit:
Unfortunately I can't send pictures in private messages, otherwise I could show you. Posting the pictures here publicly goes against everything I want to achieve.
