Omg! Nb4powerup is smiling at me!!! *swoons*

Here's one that was an aha! moment when I found out. And it was something I learned from a former alliance member vincentdang4 so I can't take the credit for it but I will if he doesn't speak up 😉 Lol When using air units think of the base as having 4 quadrants with axis drawn from alliance gate (N) to boat dock (S) and embassy(E) to opposite side (W) when you deploy your air unit you can predict where it's going to come from by where you touch in the quadrant. That narrows down the path it will take so you can look to see what defensive buildings will be trying to shoot it down. For instance if the FC is in the NE quadrant closer to the Embassy side I know it will travel in that quadrant most likely from that side. So then I can see if there are any air defense in the path and throw a sab on it. In turn I can use this information for my own base putting air defense, towers, fort and SAMs in the path on the way to my oil or FC. GailWho, Global, Lv164 Hobbit Zombies

Yup. That certainly helps. But due to the orientation of the base and the `Amount of Forest Cleared´, there might be some miscalculations which will lead to undesired flight paths. For example, if there is a row of uncleared forest in front of the Embassy and an seemingly air-attack-unprotected motor is near the forest, we might thought we could run it down with 2-3 fighters. After unleashing the furious fighters, they didn't show up from the embassy side as intended! They came out from the Alliance Gate side. Then may be 1 or 2 of them got taken out!! The job gets done but the losses were great. Hope it helps. ;)

Why Eren!! Misaka is better in my opinion! lol 😁

The first tip is for early IA. More precisely, after completing the airstrip and itching to try on their brand new plane! Yup planes are fancy and helps a lot in taking care of the defending troops and mini-sab defensive buildings. But for the first few times, may be even a few dozen battles, placing your control on the plane and looking out for their fabulous flight path will be the doom of your entire army!! Just trust me, you cannot not do a thing after the plane is deployed. So just neglect them and try to organize your army by using rally or using some tactics. You will become more accustomed to looking for your plane's remaining health after a certain times. So no worry.

The point is : Leave your planes to take care for themselves after deploying them.

The second one is for those who doesn't know how fearsome the Global Resistance is!! For those who have just got their required upgrades and feels confident to challenge a decent Global defence, not max but decent, are certainly will not be accustomed with the Library Resistance Chapter!
3 Infantry from each Barrack destroyed, no problem.
2 Tanks from the destroyed Blacksmith, still no problem.
Unique troops from the destroyed War Academy, no problem at all.
1 Heavy Tank from each Factory destroyed!! A big fat problem if not prepared.
1 Flammpanzer from the destroyed Mercanery Camp, a certain problem if not prepared.
Heavy Tanks spawning from the Bunkers are visible and could certainly be felt a threat beforehand. But the ones from the factory are hidden till the attacking army got considerably weakened after demolishing a good portion of the enemy's base. While feeling relaxed, a heavy tank from out of nowhere killing (mostly Artillery or Howitzers) left and right might spell doom for your perfect 5* victory.
For me, I personally take 2 betrayals. Those are only for the ones from the bunkers. For the factory ones, if they are in my way from the start, I finish them with full force. If they might be encountered in mid game, I mostly rally my army around that factory nd take it out as the last building.

The last tip is for those who have difficulties dealing with defence Cannon/Artillery/Howitzers. (For lower Age, Classical, Medieval, Gunpowder?) If you are of lower age, There is nearly nothing you can do. Since you will need at least 2 barrage to kill them, it might not work for the whole battle. You can also sabotage the TC and prevent them from spawning at all. But the most effctive of them all is to request at least a tank from the higher-ups in your alliance. The more advanced the better. Taking a protect along the way will not let you down. After dealing with them, the rest of the base can be dealt with relatively easily.

Hope it helps ;)

Use sabotage/blitzkrieg on the enemy town/city center to avoid the defenders from spawning and attacking your troops. Decoy near the TC also works too.

Oh I should have mentioned that's it's to forest edge. This aids in base design as a lopsided base clearing is an avantage for this very reason. Once you have a trained eye for seeing this, you will just know where the aircraft are coming from and can concentrate on the rest of the army. And you get the feeling for those areas on the grid where it can come from anywhere and avoid tapping there. I like to stick to the edges when I'm trying to protect my planes. I'm a little more daring in war when I can study my prey and make a plan to sab on the way to take out those crucial buildings farther in the middle early.

First of all planes, specially biplanes/triplanes/fighters are very important according to the type of nation you are. And you gotta make sure they survive till the end of a battle, to really be able to cleanup the base, also they are costly to retrain. So here are my tips for how to use planes more effectively.

1. Launch your troops on a side where you see most number of watch towers(Trust me they kill planes faster than anything, ok except sam missile). And let your tanks kill the ones on that side, this way you kinda have an opening for your planes to enter into tat little map where your troops were launched.

2. Now depending on whether you are a archer nation or tank nation you might wana take out the biggest threat in the beginning of the game which is either mortar or Anti tank gun. So as soon as your tanks make an opening for your planes, use your biplanes to take out the mortar/at gun in that area.

3. You gotta make sure how many rounds of each biplane it takes to take out a mortar/at gun. eg., for an EA mortar it takes one round of two fighters mk3 to take it out. Now why should you know that? Coz, In case you use a third fighter here, after the first fire of three fighters, on their return flight(second fire in the same first round), their will be two fighters who wont have any target, coz first fighter in its return flight will take out the target, in this case mortar. So now those two fighters will look for a target, making them fly over every possible watch tower or worse castle. Thereby losing a lot of health in their first round itself.

4. After you have cleared one side, rally your troops on the other side and repeat the process with your planes after taking down towers on that side. Ofcourse if tanks cant kill a tower, kill it with your planes first, before going for the mortar/at gun on that side. Once two sides are done, its upto you to keep rallying or just let your troops do their job, coz by now most of the defenses will be down, and will be no imminent threat to your planes, now you can use them to kill defenders or other mortars/at guns.

Hence its very important to know exactly how many rounds it takes for your biplane/triplane/fighter to take out a particular building(specially mortar or at gun). And if you could save all your planes till the end of a battle, result will be much more satisfing. Ofcourse in war, things are a little different, but do remember this, and save them till the end.

Hope this helps.

Generally speaking it's better to have 2 or 3 healers with 20 rifles - NOT the other way 'round .....

My british IA record is 8000, can't wait to see how much i can get in Global age

General Tips:

a) When upgrading Generals, there is tendency to stop at levels 5, 10, 15, 20. Upgrading to the next level (after multiples of 5) actually gives the biggest boost (both damage and HP), so it is a good idea to pause at 6, 11, 16, 21 instead.

b) Napolean is obviously the best; if you want to upgrade one another general above level 20, it is a good idea to choose any one other than Churchill. Upgrading to level 20+ increase the range to 3, this is wasted on Churchill which already has this range; but by upgrading another, you will have three generals with a good range.

Attack:
Revolt to British ;)
Refrain from using Saboteurs/Commandos in WW. They will be most likely killed by a Landmine/Spike Trap before being able to make an impact
Make sure, you don't allow generals spawning from a fort, unless they are sluggish compared to your forces
Check the troop combinations that your 5 star attackers are using, and give it a try to test the same combination yourself.
Protect and Betrayal tactics do help you the best when used properly near the beginning of the battle. Dont Betray a ht in the mouth of an ATG.
Do not neglect gattling and machine gunners, they serve you the best, when entering a base and fighting the forest defenders.
Use the Weapon Blessing if you can - it can turn a 3 star attack to a 5 star one with ease - thus getting back the diamond for sure.
Deploy your troops diagonally to the TC when going for the QV. Use a path to the TC over destroyed buildings, there will be definitely no traps on the way.
When attacking Global Age opponents don't forget to take into consideration the Resistance Chapters the defender could have researched from the Library.
Learn to see the difference between an empty and a full Bunker.
Control your forces, don't let them spread all over the base. Use raid as much as possible. Try to raid on a safe, near and easy reachable place for your troops
For countering heavy central bases (TC in the middle surrounded with concentrated defensive buildings) - Learn the Merry-go-round technique: Go in for the TC, get out to a safe place (let your troops heal) and go around the base on the wall perimeter
You don't need more than 5 regular tanks for 5 staring :)
Play a lot, practice makes the master :)

Defense:
Don't overprotect your TC when high on valuable resources. It's better to lose the battle (and getting a PT) as to lose high on resources with defensive wins.
Make sure, your opponent will attack from the Embassy or Alliance gate side in WW. The defending troops might hide behind the massive TC building
Create Kill zones in the area leading to your TC (concentrated traps) reachable from mortars and a redoubt.
Create more smaller compartments for valuable buildings, but be careful - closed compartments with defender producing buildings must have gates (best directed towards an implemented kill zone)
Symmetrical bases might be nice, but don't give any helping hand to your attacker. Make it confusing to read as much as possible.
Analyse your defense log, check where the attackers are usually deploying and implement changes accordingly (at least a few slow down traps).
Use your war base instead of your standard normal base when not too high on resources - your attackers will show its weak points.
Learn to count map tiles. The range of an artillery/howitzer is 5. The best distance of a mortar from an outer wall is 6 tiles :)
Don't put defensive buildings on the edge of the map, they will be most probably destroyed in one sec after the battle start, or will not join the the battle when it matters the most.
Use your Acropolis! Try to place as much as possible defender producing buildings (and Ambush Traps!) into its range.
Each area with a Tank Depot shall be controlled with an Air Defense and Tower(s).
Use the Tower Blessing each time you log out!

Here's the best tip I can offer you - have 25 global players and 15 Iron Age players on your war line up - then you will be battling people 2-3 ages below you :) so it won't matter what troops you use!
