Hi I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed that some of the higher ranking industrial age people with maxed out bases don't seem to be playing as much I've noticed that a lot of them no longer reset the traps don't even seem to have the badge next to the name on most of them i was told that you have to do at least one battle to get back into your League it would lead me to believe they haven't been playing for almost 2 weeks are these people banned players cheats that just can't be bothered anymore as I can see people paying loads of money to max out their bases just to stop playing

Most of the loot in caravans and farms along with empty storehouses are other signs of abandonment

We have lost several higher ranked players...it comes down to the insanely high build times for upgrades..over a week at a time ...and the high costs. It requires such a huge time commitment and they are getting tired of it. Sadly it means players who have been playing since the beginning are growing bored and find that the time required is more than they wish to put into the game. The other reason that I have been given is that 1 or 2 medal victories and -27 medal losses has resulted in such a huge time requirement to increase or even maintain a high medal count is too much.

To be honest, I'm starting to question the real number of active players in this game. I'm going through Kingdom leagues and Empire leagues and there are like 6 players ranked in the list each time. Some of the players who are listed in the leaderboard don't appear in that list, which to me means that they are not active. Or these are cheater accounts that have been deactivated but still stay on the leaderboard.

I go through a lot of maxed out IA based which are definitely abandoned. They have 700k gold and 700k food to loot. It's great for me and I get my pockets full but it doesn't bring confidence that the game is able to keep players interested. I'm sure most people quit once they reach gunpowder age because you need to be able to raid non-stop to save for an upgrade. I remembered having to be logged on for hours to make sure I wasn't raided while my army was rebuilding and get enough to build the house (3M gold). I'm sure the majority of people would quit at this point.

I created another account to try out different nations and I have stopped playing it at gunpowder age for that exact reason. Before that, you could manage to use gold and food from caravans and farms to move up. Afterwards, you really need to be dedicated to keep moving up.

With my main account, I started climbing the medal ladder 2 weeks ago, starting from 200. I am now in Empire league and I appear in the top 200 leaderboard. It feels good to be able to progress so quickly but it really makes me feel like there's not that many people really playing the game. And yes I am also considering quitting because I'm bored of waiting 10 days to upgrade a barrack or something else. And the medal system is very frustrating once you reach gold league.

The thing I do the most in the game at the moment is use the alliance chat... It's really not how things should be but I'm running out of things to do. No workers left for many days and no target found to attack.

This.

Anyone from Nexon ever read this?

Theres enough people in the game spending money to keep development moving forward. If u find a 700k gold player thats an active person because their gold storage is at least 1.4mil. Yes cheaters lose interest or get banned. Yes active players get frustrated and quit

You're saving me a lot of typing - I think about something and lo and behold you've already written it.

I'd take it further and question just how many players at all once you get past Gunpowder and 1200 medals - I keep seeing the same bases to attack and my current Gold 1 League only has 53 names on the list.

2800+ medals, will reach IA In a few. Got no opponent to play with and build time is too high. I'm gonna give it a shot a couple of weeks more and if the opponent thing persists I'm dropping medals, losing interest and eventually quit very soon after that. Honestly the only thing keeping me in the game is the fact that I'm physically injured since 7 months and can't engage in any of my sport activities and personal interests. Once I recover.. I'm movin on.

Yes, boredom is the main topic of discussion on my alliance. We talk about ways to inject fun. Some issues include...excessive upgrade times, anything beyond 2 or 3 days is just too long...removal of training blessing on factory troops means the most "fun" troops like gattling guns and commandos and heavy tanks are not usable for the majority of attacks...then there's 30 minutes to build a plane and 60 minutes to do a zeppelin, that fly around and "pop", then another 30-60 minute wait...in summary this game has too much waiting and not enough fun. That's why players are losing interest. I've been playing since December, but generally only play for 30 minutes a day (one training blessing). If they nerf the training blessing then I'm out.

Agree, training blessing nerf will be game over for many of us. Experienced players talk about the same: boring combat, frustrating leagues/medals, waiting times, cheats. Fixing these would help much more than new age or even alliance wars.

This is exactly why I left AoE:CS. You are forced to wait an hour for an attack that barely loots anything...if they nerf training blessing and keep the 'fun' units under long wait times I may make a real quitting base.

But really, gameplay should expand with ages, not shrinken. In GP I used mixed army, 3-4 different tactics, many blessings, generals...

In early EA I used factory units before their nerf and it was fun having an army with 7-8 different units...

Now, I am using 2-3 units and 1 tactic, 2 blessings (training and storage). That's it. Nothing else matters ;) all other features are useless for me. Great progress, indeed

I started to put generals on defense, my 5 mercs standing for a week not used. The most of the time I am building 3-5 wall pieces a day.
