For the past couple of days we have had a player joining and harassing our alliance with racist and bigoted language. This is language that is supposedly not tolerated; however CS has indicated they will do nothing to stand against it.

I suspect Nexon and BHG do have an issue with this language- but unfortunately we're being forced to accept it as a player's personality quirk and must either close our alliance to all players, or simply continue to endure the harassment.

While we've been dealing with it for days, I'm interested to see how long it is deemed acceptable here in the forum. So, here it is:

And the message from CS telling us too bad so sad:

People like this do exist in life; however it's up to each of us to stand against it and say it is completely unacceptable. This should not be tolerated anywhere, least of all in a game. Nb4powerup TinSoldier, please stand up against this hateful language and ban those individuals whose personalities are so abhorrent that they feel this harassment is acceptable behaviour.

Wowwwwww, that response from CS is just.. jaw dropping. Makes it much worse. Do they even read what you send them? W. t. H.

This type of thing is completely unacceptable and CS needs to b rectified (whatever is going on w that) to address these types of issues.

I absolutely agree with you all. If a complaint is made against a player, with proof, regarding language that violates Nexon's terms of use then proper action should be taken. And the TWO CS 'game masters' that indicated we should handle the racist bigoted player on our own should be given better training as to Nexon's terms of use:

8. Prohibited Conduct/Representations and Warranties

You represent and warrant that you will not, in connection with your use of the Applications:
  • act in a manner that negatively affects other users’ ability to use the Applications, including without limitation by engaging in conduct that is harmful, threatening, abusive, inflammatory, intimidating, violent or encouraging of violence, harassing, vulgar, stalking, invasive of another’s privacy, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable;
Players violating these terms should be subject to bans. I've seen bans for less offensive behaviour than this.

Agreed. That kind of harassment should be subject to correction from customer service. How many times does he have to enter or attempt to enter the alliance using abusive language for it to be considered actionable by Nexon? And why should an alliance's ability to recruit new players be hampered, or the manner (whether to have alliance invite only or even closed) dictated by the actions of a bullying player?

There needs to be an option to perm ban him from rejoining your alliance. That's a much better way to deal with it imo. Such people would always exist but you just need to ignore them at the end of the day...even more so when it's a video game.

Lifetime ban nothing else! we do not need these idiots in the game, why should our enjoyment be ruined by this trolling, he would probably just start a new account if he is that sad a person, at least it takes up his time getting back in

The solution seems to be rather simple: allow alliances a perma-kick option. That way, a user that gets kicked cannot come back to the open alliance that kicked them and continue to annoy them. On-top of that, a blacklist that can be accessed by the alliance leaders so that they can revoke the perma-kick, just in-case there is ever a case of mistaken usage or power abuse. And on-top of a blacklist, there can even be a whitelist, where the alliance leaders can add people to the list so that said users can join an invite only, or alternative requirements needed, alliance at any time.

I'm one of the original beta tester players (started playing in November/December 2014, pre World-wide release) and haven't posted in these forums for donkeys years as the never ending bugs and cheats have never been fixed and never will be....anyways, this makes Aussie guy's blood boil. The only thing worse than that racist nonsense is the pitiful response from so called Customer Service. I once reported a base where the player wrote "F*K U Nexon"....and guess what?....it got removed within a day. POOR RESPONSE and POOR FORM Nexon....get your house in order and employ some staff with brains who actually read your own terms of use...now back to my retirement from this forum.

This kind of behavior is unacceptable and the customer support response is arguably even worse.

The player is clearly violating the terms of service by "engaging in conduct that is harmful, threatening, abusive, inflammatory, intimidating, violent or encouraging of violence, harassing, vulgar, stalking, invasive of another’s privacy, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable".

TinSoldier
and
Nb4powerup

Please help us understand what is going on... and help us get this to the correct department so it can be dealt with.

Thank you in advance!

Lifetime ban definitely in order. If not, allow each alliance the ability to ban individuals. I had someone harassing us a while back with vulgar language (even though we were ticked as clean language) and got the exact same response from CS. The message being sent is that those who just want to enjoy a game are being punished while people who disrupt the game for everyone are allowed to roam around unpunished using vulgar language??? Boooo..... And forcing alliances to switch to invite only is - in my opinion - again punishing the innocent instead of the guilty. Plus, as mentioned above, invite only still subjects you to the vulgar language included in their message to join. Unacceptable BHG/Nexon. The kind of language in question here is even offensive to those who regularly curse - imagine how those of us who choose not to curse feel.

Yes, ofc. But no one else should have to suffer this then be forced to boot and close their alliance so as not to invite further harassment and hate. This person's personality defect isn't our fault.
