Ah, good point Quang! That may explain it if the connection was lost while I was flipping through bases beforehand. It can't have been lost during the battle since the two stars (TC and QV) and the oil were gained in about 30 seconds since it was one of those stratight-to-TC attacks and the refinery was right next to the TC.

I also never knew that there was a minute's grace if you lost the connection. Good to know!

yohoo! I found new way to climb medal much faster, break the peace on purpose so others can attack me and lose!

Medals through good defense. An impossible strategy 2 weeks ago. This is great.

It definitely feels like the faster way. Got 32 medals last night when my opponent had 49% destruction

Guys get into higher leagues and you won't get successful defends, and if so it will give you just 1 medal...
So this is not a strategy stay in in low ranges and have other lower players fail against you.

I got attacked by a level 180 player tonight, yes a fucking cheater, level 180 everything maxed!!!, he took away 38 medal as he keeps hiding in low levels. That's a balanced league or medal system? Don't think so...

I'm in Empire League III and yet to win on defence since the change. Literally just had a crash and lost 39 medals so going to be falling back down the leagues. Say goodbye to some of your opponents, folks! Don't complain when you get the no opponent message on screen. You asked for this "fix".

Ridiculous to implement it before determining whether it was a crash or forced close. Btw, I have no other apps open and always restart game before attacking so nothing more I can do to prevent crashes on my iPad Air.

I have posted this a few times and it is not being allowed, but I'll try again.

I had a 'network error' which caused me to lose a battle I had already won. The big problem is the loss was then counted three times as I tried to log back in and kept getting errors. This caused me to lose 57 medals.

CS response was - make sure you have a good connection. Not helpful at all as the connection trouble lately is on the Nexon end.

That's pointless mr suplex, I spent money and 9 months for getting in dynasty one, I was just there for 1 week and now they completely destroy the fun of the game? They blow up all my efforts. And now I shall neglect the league system and bonuses and don't care about medals? I don't care about resources but I will ever as I play care about medals

You forgot an important part. Not everyone can afford to use a full army. I can't afford to use a full merc camp, generals, 5 tactics per attack. Therefore, don't make it sound like we don't know how to play the game. I just try to do my best with what little I have.

Good Point. If they would rebuild the medal system it would be a different matter. But with the current system I've got more to lose than win. All that hard work over months just to fight yourself to the high leagues on 95% one medal wins is a waste.

I wonder who brings Nexon in more money. The peeps in the high leagues that buy peace treaties etc or peeps that hide in the low leagues.

For me this isn't so much about crashing (rarely happens to me) but about the balance of winning vs losing. As Empire I player I'm a decent attacker, but I will readily lose more than 1 in 40 of my battles.
This means that an evening of enjoyable play, let's say 30 x +1 win is immediately wiped out by a -39 loss (after wading through 5-20 "no opponent found" per attack) and that's without the -5 to -15 loss I have overnight.
That's very demotivating for what's supposed to be casual entertainment. Essentially I'm punished with a whole evening's play lost on a single loss. That makes every game a "must-win-or-else" and that's way too much stress.
So, perhaps the master plan is that instead of 3100 medals I "belong" in the 2100 medals category? Not very motivating, is it?

You can't assume people in the high leagues are the only paying players. I have many players in my alliance who bought crowns to catch up in age. Most of the time people buy crown to finish upgrades or unlock stuff faster. Not a lot of people buy crown for medal push.

I only use full mercs, generals and tactics in war. Hardly ever in pvp but still manage. If you 4 or 5 star a base you will get all you need to do it again. If you do it right you have most of your army alive to fight the next battle. It's that simple.
