Hiya new player here, so far loving it

I did read the forums for some, but could not find answer to one question. Should I always focus on moving to next age as soon as possible? Or maximise old ages, I'm currently at Iron Age.
Or are there some penalties when moving from one age to another?
How about the PVP battles? Should I focus on winning and getting in to better leagues?

If you want to rush to next age, is really up to you.. The benefit doing it are more defense, and better troops.. But maxing everything out before moving on, is in the end a stronger defense.. Later on it takes a while to do that, but for me the end results is better.. But do as you please Don't worry about leagues right now, in fact don't worry at all about medals and leagues.. Focus on building your base, and forget about the leagues.

I agree with Jacuer do some research and find out which is the best way for you to play. i choose to rush to the next age as soon as possible and make the best upgrades while that is happening so it is really up to you how you think it will be most beneficial to you.

In my opinion, maxing your base is really important (CoC habits ^^), but you can do whatever you want at the beginning of the game.
Just notice that if you don't wanna be raided, you better have a good def, so don't forget your walls !
