Hold the gates not working in world war

Some have reported hold the gates capstone is not working during war . This needs to be a priority fix it took over a year to complete at a massive amount of real money spent!!!

The patch notes mentioned that library and university research would not stack anymore. It caught the vault, with the library oil and moctezuma no longer working.

I think this might be the source of the change to hold the gates. There is library research (Partisans) that decreases stable first spawn time by 50%. Now that would not stack with hold the gates. So instead of 50% plus 25% for a 75% reduction in spawn, now it would be 50%, and then 25% of the remaining 50% - so only 62.5% total.

That could cut the effect of hold the gates significantly, and that may have been on purpose.

The acropolis is also boosted by library research, so the effect of that could play a role as well.

The question then becomes whether hold the gates is still providing some effect, but about half of what it was before, or if it is actually providing no effect.

It would not shock me if increasing that spawn time was the primary purpose of that fix. The flood of tanks on Hold the Gates bases was extremely unbalanced on defenses. Maybe now it is just a little less overpowered.

I had the same reasoning. But their is a problem. When looking at my tank depot spawning time, it says each 11 seconds. That was already the case before the update. So if the stacking effect have been remove, that 11 sec figure should have changed.

Another evidence it's a bug, and not a change in the way it's calculated: while the spawning time is 15-16 sec in WW and MP, it's still 11 sec in friendly challenges.

Interesting point, I don't have access to any HtG bases to check actual numbers in any case. But the text is wrong all over the place on this update. If the library / university stacking has been changed, it should be showing up in a lot of different units stats - but it isn't.

And the one place we do know was broken is Moctezuma and the vault. Nothing about the original change or the fix they did is properly documented with in game text at the moment.

It wouldn't surprise me if actual statistics and display statistics were calculated separately, and one got updated while the other didn't. It also wouldn't be a surprise if friendly challenges used the other calculation.

No answer whatsoever? Tanks are being spawned once in 16 seconds in war and once in 11 seconds in friendly challenge on the same base. No matter how they calculate the buff, it should be the same both in war, challenge or mp.
@TinSoldier this is a huge problem! Finishing saladin wasn't easy, mostly from a financial point of view. Don't we deserve at least an answer?

I see under investigation , the players did all the invitation we need solutions please and a real time frame dozens of big spenders have left the game in the last week specifically to the university and especially hold the gates not working in war , I haven't left yet but am looking into other games , and definitely not going so continue at my 300-500 per week spending rate ....this game no longer deserves that kind of investment in entertainment, however if a real time table are provided then my sentiments may change

Actually all bases are falling way too easy in war , if capstone doesn't work probably the university as a whole isn't vonconnec to war at all

I already wrote this elsewhere but it's equally interesting here:
There are two players in my alliance who got money back from the apple appstore because Saladin is not working as intended (more than 400 Euros for one and more than 800 for the other). There are further players in my alliance who are currently requesting refunds. A couple 1000 euros won't really hurt their bottom line but now these guys have money to finish Haile's research :-D

Patience has worn out , the status needs to change from investigation to solution in 72 hours or I'm taking all my $ back and spending it elsewhere
