How does your alliance deal with non English speaking members?

in the last month or so we have had quite a few join that I doubt speak English by what some of their names are and when you ask them a direct question you never get an answer. Some that join never come into chat except to request troops, I've kicked a few of them because of the above mentioned reasons. If I ask a person by their name a question I expect an answer, I don't think that's too much to ask being I may have just sent you an a$$ load of expensive troops.

for the most part we don't push people to war or even donate troops if they are low level because we all want high lvl troops, this evening we had a rush of 10 people joining so I thought about sending an e mail to the alliance asking for them if they speak English and to check into chat otherwise they will be kicked. So how do you guys deal with this kind of issues? We don't use third party chat and will not be doing so, our main people chat quite a bit so there really isn't a need too.

Been a while since we had non-speaking English - but we had a lot before.
We let them stay as long as they have their war button on, they stay active, seemingly do their best in war and also keep a fair donation ratio.
The same goes for any English speaking members :)
We want to do large wars 35/35 or 40/40 and have no room for war slackers :)

Join alliance, request troops without saying at least "Hi" the are already halfway out the door. Google translate is a wonderful thing.

Those people should be kicked. English is really not difficult to learn (I'm french), at least the few things they need to communicate in dominations.

All languages are difficult for me but the effort is worthwhile.

So if you have people that don't speak English how do you communicate with them? I don't want to have to be using some translation app or something to be able to talk to someone. A lot that join may say hi, but that's about it. We don't require the lower level people to donate much unless someone puts anything in their request. Who would want a bow man when they could have a tank? For war I always request tanks, howitzers or something like that, for raids I just request anything that way it gives the lower lvl guys a chance to donate.

I boot them instantly. The same goes for all using non-Latin characters for their name. If I cannot type it, I cannot communicate with that person. Our alliance description clearly states English only.

We kick them. No way to communicate how we function as an Alliance & can't communicate war instructions, fix their war base, etc.

I've been booted for saying I'm Hungarian on a couple of alliances.

Definitely not from my alliance, unless you said you were Hungarian in Hungarian :)
But some will allow only players from certain countries. I got kicked from my first alliance because they were accepting players from Vietnam only.

We had a couple of Spanish speaking players who were really great. Nearly went cross eyed using translate but we managed and it was a sad day when they had enough of the glitches and quit. If we cant type their name they are immediately kicked - no way to get their attention in chat.

I really don't care what country they're from, we have a few from India and SA, they just gotta speak English. If they have a name in a different language they get the boot right away. And the dead beats gotta go too. i am wanting to expand our alliance we do 15 people wars and I'm wanting to start doing 20 or 25 people or even larger wars but there were so many that never do anything other than send troop request so I sent an e mail giving everyone 48 hours to respond in chat and ended up kicking 21 people, within 4 hours we had 10 join so I'm goi g to have to do the same thing again.

It's not fair to the other members or the alliance as a whole for those people to just bum troops and never offer anything that will benefit the alliance, there's no room for leaches, we all know everyone has their real life and we all get busy but it doesn't take 1 minute to stop in and say hey I will be out for a few days...ok that's fine no
worries. In the past I didn't make it a requirement that you have to check into chat on a regular basis or to war but I have changed that, I don't expect anything unreasonable, maybe something like 3 or 4 times a week and same for war you would t have to be in every war, I would rotate people so some can have a little break from it and others that want to be in war regularly can do so. I don't think that is too much to ask of them if they want to be in an alliance.
