for myself. when i see a japanese townhall inside walls protected by defense buildings my focus changes to whats the situation with the resource buildings. sometimes that means ill go for the lightly defended resource buildings. sometimes ill look for a new opponent. so it depends how well u defend your resources while integrating the town center. if defending town center ruins your overall setup dont do it. but the town center can discourage an attack
