Impossible to get revenge

Hi all Folks.

Is it coincidence or I cant get the "revenge" with most of the Korean players? I undestand one can be online/under attack/peace treaty, however it is technically impossible that they are always in these status after I try to get revenge on specific players for 50/60 times several times per day in different time. Again, I have noticed mainly with Korean players.

Yeah, except they are not on players list to be found and "visited" and since they are under constant attack you can't even open theirs towns...

Have you noticed that only Korean players can't be attacked? I was able to revenge any others. I have some .pngs to prove it but when I try to upload it says "invalid file"

Exactly! Only Korean players cannot be attacked since they are always "under attack"! I am trying for days now, at different times of day and night with same result. I know I could kick their butts since I am much more advanced (level/age) but they just come and loot gold, food and goods, lose medals and have immunity by cheating! Yeah NEXON why don't you look into it?

Same here! All are Koreans. All are lower level than me and I could easily kick their butts, but "player under attack" prevents me from doing it. And I am also trying at different times , days and nights with same result. Have some pngs to proove it and expose their user names(in Korean alphabet) but for some reason this page gives me message: "invalid file" (I tried png, jpg and they are all under 200k,small enough). Is Nexon trying to protect their countrymen, or just don't care?

I think I posted this elsewhere as well, but in case I'm wrong: if you're in a highly competitive pool, the odds of revenge working are small. In order for it to work, you have catch the player when:
- they aren't online
- they have no Peace Treaty
- they aren't also in combat OR queued to be matched to someone else

For really active players, that's a small part of the day, unfortunately. That being said, we're working on making it better and less frustrating. Nothing worse than clicking something as satisfying as REVENGE and getting no satisfaction.

My idea : revenge should be possible even if you have a peace treaty. After revenge done, the peace treaty will continue for the opponent.

We've done pretty extensive research and testing here. We're also looking at ways to make it better, since we know it's frustrating.

Yes this game is horribly broken and the developers refuse to acknowledge they have a problem. I'll echo the same, you can NEVER revenge asian players, your excuses that they are online or attacking someone are ridiculous, the fact that I can go through my entire defense log at anytime and never revenge an asian player as they are always under attack means your revenge system is totally screwed up. Nobody could be online at attacking 24x7, I,m done with this game, I'll stick To CoC where I can actually revenge people. I've left an appropiate 1 star review on iTunes.

this issue is really really becoming unbearable. Not only it is impossible to get revenge with Asian (mainly korean) players, but those tend to be only focused on raiding. Literally, as soon as you accumulate more than 200k, you get constant attacks by asian players without any chance to get revenge back. it is becoming quite annoying as it doesnt sound fair to me to prevent from revenging Raiders players (literally their troups is based only of cav raiders). Ugly

The problem is it's easy to use mods / scripts to keep the game running 24 / 7 as a online shield is not something that should last more then a few hours a day otherwise it's exploitable as we have seen.

We have preventive code to detect that, and we take it into account.

This issue is still ongoing. I can regularly have revenge with other players but impossible to get any from any korean. Nothing for weeks. This is quite a big issue, considering also that it seems all Korean players are raiders

Please PM me your player ID so that I can look at your defense logs and get specific examples. If I can show that to our team, I can get some time dedicated to it.

I too have had this same issue. I questioned my alliance members and they are experiencing it also. It's impossible to seek revenge on the Korean players.

Can you quote the "refuse to admit we have a problem"? We've admitted there are flaws in how Revenge works, and we've clarified how it works (not just "online attacking" but online at all, or under a peace treaty, etc.)

If you'd like to just complain, then that's cool. But if you'd like me to look at players, please PM me.

Also important to note: just because a player has Asian characters for name and alliance, doesn't mean they are Asian. Came across one in Portuguese the other day...

Ironangel, I think your important note above is incorrect in its assumptions. We have some players in my alliance, which has a very Australian name, using Asian characters in their name...they are all Asian players. Being in a Portuguese alliance doesn't make you Portuguese!

I do think however, it is wrong to single out Asian players as somehow cheating, as cheaters happen in all nationalities, and perhaps people notice names with unfamiliar characters more readily...maybe that is what you are trying to say? I encounter cheaters everytime I go on multiplayer mode...there's lots of them and they appear to come from all over the place.

Read post 9 in this thread, you offer scenarios as to why it could happen which aren't realistic 24X7 which translates to not wanting to acknowledge there is a problem. I have to believe there aren't players on here that don't sleep, eat or do something other than play this game. Note it didn't use to be like this, months ago revenge worked fairly regularly. Can you clarify what under attack means because nobody should be getting attacked 24x7.

I just registered for the sole purpose of saying there is absolutely something going on with this.

I'm really not interested in trying to report individual players on this, (there are simply too many to make it practical to do) but rather to have this bug squashed.

I do not know if these players are asian, or if its just the font, or maybe its that the ipad's country of origin is set to an asian country, or maybe its a server problem. I do not know. But it would seem it should be fairly easy for Nexon to figure out.
If I can get revenge to eventually work on any other player except for those with asian in appearance fonts/names there is something occurring outside of that player just being particularly active. I have sat and tried over and over again and again and it simply can not be done.

It is kind of disheartening to read this thread and see that basically the issue just gets deflected or nearly derailed from the overall point. So I will just repeat it again.

Nexon has the servers, they have the data, they have the means to test and trouble shoot this.
What I don't have is an exact reason why or the ability to figure this out for them. Nor do I have the time to sit and report 50+ individual players across the course of a week.

You will see that for any "asian" players (at least their characters are in korean and some in japanese or possibly chinese) it is ALWAYS impossible to get any revenge.

Revenge works fine with other players
